I've come here not because I keep buying, but because I want to go out and buy. And who better to ask for advice, than you lovely people!!! And hopefully it can give you all the 'fixes' you need!
I need a brand new skin care regime. I am thinking
- scrub
- cleanser
- toner
- eye cream
- serum
- day cream
- night creams!
I am 25, I have normal skin. A few areas of acne around the forehead and chin - but I don't consider it to be an issue. Nothing that a little TLC / regime couldn't fix.
Oh and I don't have a problem with budget (within reason - no Creme de la mer options people) when it comes to the skin.
It is time to invest in my face!
Thank you :T0 -

One UU today, Aussie Miracle Moist conditioner, WIBA? Yes always like this range but want to try something different. Has anyone tried the L'Oreal EverPure range?
i trialled it for ELLE. it did the job well and its good value for what you get but its slightly dearer than the normal shampoos. if you don't have a problem with using SLS, just buy a cheaper normal one, the lack of SLS is the only difference. i have problems with l'oreal's animal testing so i'd never choose to buy it purely for that reason but if that doesn't bother you its worth the money.
tbh, i dont understand why they released it. i know they are trying to jump on the natural bandwagon but most green girls run a mile from animal testing companies and they've used a paraben and mineral oil in the conditioner that green girls also run a mile from.0 -
GA - Body Shop Moringa Foaming Bath - WNBA. It was a Christmas gift, but I found it a little too heavily floral scented for me.
GA - 2 travel sized loations, off with my better half to use at work, this cold weather makes for dry hands. Pleased that my stash could prove useful.
I've picked out 30 of the best travel sized items for a basket to be used when I have guests. Now, to figure out what to do with the rest...
With today's GA and the basket, I have no more travel sized lotions. :j0 -
A weird day today.
I went into the body shop because I needed some massage oil and the lovely lady said if I spent £5 more I'd get a free love you body gift card and a body butter. Then when I handed over my old love you body gift card the sales woman pointed out i'd missed my birthday gift so she'd back date it for me.
I ended up with:
Harmonising massage oil
Vitamin E body butter
Satsuma gift set (60 ml shower gel, body scrub, body butter and body puff thingy)- reduced to £5.
Japanese cherry gift set (60ml shower gel, 60ml body lotion, scrubby gloves and body puff)- reduced to £5.
All of which came to £13.50- now bear in mind I was going to pay £10 for the oil anyway. So for £3.50 I had a £12 body butter, a £5 love your body card, and 2 £13.50 gift sets. Too barganious to pass up. I gave the body butter to my dad's girlfriend and i've put the gift sets in the gift stash....
SO ONLY ONE IN!

I'm not dead!!!
he's very nice and might have a job at a yard in Chichester do hopefully will be back off soon (whic is great!!) had to go to Nottingham to get him cos he couldn't get a lift so set off on foot to try to get one and ended up going completely the wrong way....
I'm just being a mate - id hope that if I ever find myself in a similar situation someone would help me out....
No uu or ins todayDo not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup0 -
Oh my goodness. I'm so pleased that I found this community but I'm also a little nervous about signing up. I haven't started on my stash list yet (so daunting!) but I thought that if I don't sign up NOW I will keep putting it off, so here I am.
I'm going to number my outs like Mariella does so that I can see my progress. It's going to take me ages to complete a stash list as I've squirreled everything away so well...
I bought quite a few large sizes of things in the sales with the thought that I wouldn't need to buy any more things for ages. This will be fine if I stop buying but (of course) I'm here as it isn't always that simple!
How do people choose what to start using up? I'm torn between tackling old, less exciting stuff (practical) or using up what I really love (the marvellous PRCP). Help!
I'm looking forward to getting to know you all. I've read through Oct - today and found it fascinating and encouraging (though it did nearly end with me placing an order at TBS as all your body butters sounded great! :rotfl:)
I tend to rotate products so that I don't get bored so I'm not expecting to achieve lots of UUs. Really, the main thing is for me not to buy any more & I'm sure that the community support/spirit here will help so much. From now on I'm shopping my stash. (Eeeek!)
Some outs to get me started:
1. Vogel Atrogel Arnica Gel 100ml. WBA (I have already!) as this is my HG spot calmer. It's really effective and doesn't dry my skin out.
2. Boots Original Formula Cleansing Milk. I wish I could buy this again as it was gentle but effective but Boots discontinued the whole range. Grrrr...
I have a couple of splutterers to spur me on. I also have lots of beauty box sample sized things to use up. Fun! :j
Lovely to meet you all0 -
Welcome Willowbee :-) You're in good company ;-)
welcome to you too :-)
I'm 29 (30 this year  ) and my skin though fairly normal has become drier the last few years. Cleanser & toner I've never found a set I can't live without. My serum & day cream favourites are Estee Lauder Idealist & Day Wear. I've tried a few moisturisers and always go back to this. Actually, if I didn't have a stash, I'd be quite happy with just those two regulars :O For my eyes I'm (meant to be) using Clinique Eye Depuffing serum.
I have a UU!!
SD Nail Polish Remover Acetone version: WIBA? Maybe, sometimes it didn't feel that effective, but could be the type of cotton wool. Now onto its replacement, SD Acetone Free. I only buy remover when running low, so thankfully I have no more stashed!
SD Cotton Wool Pads: WIBA? Already have in stash. I think I prefer Boots ones though, these aren't that strong I think, so usually need 3/4 for nails rather than 2. Or maybe its just the type of polishes I've been wearing.
A question for you ladies, do you completely UU all test products, or only the ones you like?No buying unnecessary toiletries/makeup in May: Unnecessary spend £17.60
May INs: 14 UUs/OUTs/GAs: 11
2012 INs: 77 UUs/OUTs/GAs: 91
Savings from UUs: £60.50

If its only a little tester I would use it up, unless I really didnt like it! Benefits moisturiser brought me out in a million spots, so didnt finish that, gave the very cute bottle to a live action role playing friend for potions lol!rosemary54 wrote: »why not book in to see a consultant or two in a big store and get her to do an analysis of your skin type
See, Rosemary once again the smart one! Elemis will actually use a camera to do a real in depth skin analysis, I had that doen a few years ago, much fun!0
