Hi ladies,
A couple of UUs here:
Travel size nail varnish remover - WNBA, had to scrub like mad to get the stuff off. Will stick to Cutex from now on.
Greek olive oil soap - very nice and have a few more in the stash......
Sawan - I like Aldi's night cream, I've been using it for well over a year now.
Trudij - what an awful discovery. Working with the public and having been told to f&!% off on more occasions than one, I sincerely hope karma exists.Do nothing in haste; look well to each step; and from the beginning think what may be the end - Edward Whymper0 -
SuiDreams Glad to hear your aunt's stable. I hope you're feeling happier today
LadyM I love the pictures of your makeup stash, thanks so much for sharingAnd it's excellent news about the items the you're getting to help you out around home :j
Helen I have a friend who work's in HR, and she's having problems herself tooI ditto the advice about not trusting anybody in HR as she's tried to seek help and it hasn't worked
As for blushers, I can't even imagine a UU!! So well done! :T
Willowbee I also have far too much makeup. My aim is to list and photograph it all to kick myself into using more than my regular stuff
Evilsquid ditto exactly what you said about forgetting what you have
Oh Trudi, I'm really sorry to hear thatThat's such an awful thing to do especially after you took him into your home
Will you mention it to the mutual friend of yours?
Hanval Thanks for the tip about the Aldi night cream. There's one not far from where I work but never been there as tend to stick to Lidl. I'll try it out, thank you

As I said yesterday, I bit the bullet and threw away some items which were open and years old. I'd estimate 2 years old for the newest item.
TAs
Avon Solutions Toner: WNBA: This regime did nothing for meIn fact it made my face red. I did try cancelling out one product at a time, but felt uneasy about it. It's been in my cupboard since with me thinking I'll go back to it, but let's be honest, if I haven't touched it in years, I'm unlikely to use it in the future.
Avon Solutions AM/PM Cleanser: WNBA: As above.
L'Oreal De-Maq Expert Cashmere Milk Expert Make-up Remover: WNBA: I bought this when it was released (2009 according to Amazon, so not too old). This just didn't take my makeup off very well at all. It got relegated when I got something that did, and never been used since.
LE Instant Boost Skin Tonic: WIBA? Maybe. I don't know why I stopped using this, but I found it lurking at the very back of a shelf in my cupboard. I opened it and it went 'pfft' ikwim, so didn't want to start using it in case it reacted.
UUs
UD Eyeshadow Primer Potion: WIBA? Yes. This was a larger (genie) type bottle, and it basically finished and the remnants were so difficult to remove. I moved onto my current one then.
Rimmel Sexy Curves Mascara: WIBA? Yes. It does a good job, but as it's over a year old and I moved onto something else last October it's a TA (and it's dried up).
Why do I hoard things I know are finished or over their life span?? I have no idea what else is lurking in my room
Re: mascaras, I really rate the Maybelline One-by-One. I'm using the waterproof one, and it's the only mascara I've ever used and have thought I'll re-buy. However, I have plenty in my stash to use so I may find one that's even better! Actually, that's going to be 6 months old next week, so in PRCP spirit will move onto an EL full size one I've been saving for a special occasion (that never came)! No buying unnecessary toiletries/makeup in May: Unnecessary spend £17.60

Opinions please do I continue on we current open foundations which I'm not really happy with or get rid and try something else or try using these up while trying other products?0

Oh no, Trudi. That is so horrible. How could someone do that when you gave them a roof over their head when they had nowhere to go?
That's just disrespectful and abusing your trust.

Have been out shopping and not bought anything except loads of m&s food. Thank you for all messages re my Aunt waiting on further updates.
Only the plus side did try some more foundation found someone very helpful on Estee Lauder counter in House of Fraser she gave me a really natural look with their new Invisible Fluid, looks great and doesn't feel heavy she's given me a sample of it so i can see how I get on with it before i buy. They haven't got any to sell till Monday anyway. DH was very complimentary of it when I got back and said best makeup I've had in a long time and I should buy it,then spoilt by adding that it may not look as good when i do it myself.
Looks like i probably need to invest in a foundation brush though as this gives best coverage with foundation, apparently sponges aren't a good idea as you waste a lot of product. What do other people think?
I really did like the Estee Lauder products she used so may change completely to their products when i need to replace stuff, just need to make sure I don't get a reaction to any of it first.
By the way I got the other open foundation out this morning and tried that, but I to take it straight off as it was a few shades too dark for me, must have bought it in the summer ( either that or I was being rather colour blind that day).0 -
Trudi sorry about what happened, hopefully he'll get his comeuppance soon.0

I'll have some GA later on:
Bare Minerals Volumizing mascara - WNBA, does nothing for my lashes
Monu Skin Perfector sample - WNBA, my skin didn't like the last one i used and i had to UU as hand cream but it may as well go to someone who will use it as a moisturiser.
Rose & Co Rose Petal Salve - WNBA, been using as lip balm and its given me spots right at the side of my mouth. put it down the petroleum as the 1st ingredient.
with mascaras, i really like the bobbi Brown Everything one I'm on. I'm using it with the Urban Decay lash serum and i look like I'm wearing lash extensions with just one coat of mascara. i have used the serum religiously every night for more then 6 months now thou. i really like the rimmel one that has a plastic comb brush. been so long since I've used it I've forgotten what it was called :rotfl: i prefer the plastic comb ones over the big brushes, they don't seem to work on my eyelashes.Looks like i probably need to invest in a foundation brush though as this gives best coverage with foundation, apparently sponges aren't a good idea as you waste a lot of product. What do other people think?
it depends on the formula and coverage you want. my really natural dior one looks much nicer using just fingers because i can properly blend it and warm it into my skin. my mac studio fix gives full coverage and does look better with a foundation brush. I've got a flat bobbi brown one and a big one from laura mercier (equivalent to MAC 187) thats supposed to be for powder but gives foundation coverage somewhere in between a proper brush and using fingers. a girl at mac taught me to use that brush like the bare minerals "buffing" technique.0
