Just applied for loreal lumimagic sample off Facebook.0

The easiest thing is to head to a large Boots or a department store and ask for help at the main counters (Estee Lauder, Clinique etc). Most should be happy to give you samples to test, especially with all the new launches at the moment. Most understand that it's best to test foundation over a few days so ought to be helpful. I had sachets of the Liz Earle skin tint in all three shades. I don't think I would have bought it without trying it first (it's perfect for me
)
Good luck!0 -

Fingers crossed that your Aunt continues to improve.
I'm on the same track as Willowbee.
If you find that you have wasted quite an amount of dosh on foundation that is not right, it might well prove more enonomical and a lot more satisfying to do some trials of the dept store/boots more expensive ranges and get matched with something that is exactly the correct texture and colour. The better brands often cover better, need to use less and last for ages and ages. I have used Clinique for years and they are so helpful at matching exactly to skin colout, I have a Lancome sample to try now, and again they took a lot of trouble to ge the right colour for me to go away with. Best of luck. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -

LadyM - I'm glad your assessment went well, I really hope the equipment helps. Sometimes the smaller bits of equipment make the biggest difference. Wishing you health and happiness (although it sounds like you've certainly got lots of happiness with your other half!!). I'm also 25, and although I like to have fun, everyone knows me as the sensible one. I'm just too much like my mother(she's a teacher!).

I agree.I liked his suggestion about raising one of the sofas as I hadn't actually thought of that (and didn't know it could be done.:o).
Thank you.I am sensible alot but through this horrible illness I have to maintain my humour as it keeps me going strong (that and the husband.:p).
Glad to hear your feeling better and fingers crossed for your Auntie.
LadyM I'm glad your assessment went well and they're going to kit you out with helpful things. The wheelchair car noises made me giggle :rotfl:
Thank you.
Lol. We do like to have our fun. I'm sure I look a bit crazy to other shoppers.:rotfl:
Another post to follow with some UUs and photos of my makeup collection! :eek:2019 Wins

Some UUs from my bath.
Superdrug Vitamin E Illuminating Moisture Cream - WIBA? - Yes. I love it. It's very moisurising and left my skin feeling very soft.
Iden Bee Propolis Body Wash Sachet - WIBA? - This was a freebie and I didn't like it that much. It smelt of banana and didn't really do anything for my skin.
Palmolive Naturals Shower Milk in Honey - WIBA? - I loved this. I ran out of bubble bath so used the last of this in the bath. It actually created a good lather, is moisturising, and it smells great so I'd definitely buy it again.
Agadir Argan Oil Hair Treatment Sachet - WIBA? - This was also a freebie and I really didn't like it at all. It didn't smell that nice and I didn't notice any difference in my hair.
Also an IN from the other day:
Sensodyne Pro-Namel Gentle Whitening Toothpaste - Much needed as the other one is running out.2019 Wins

Re the foundation, my inclination would be to use it up somehow by mixing it with other colours or diluting it with moisturiser unless it made my skin look really horrible.
A make up UU, how exciting. Boots no 7 mineral perfection blusher in rose pink. Do I need to disclose that it was the result of a £5 voucher? Thought not. Actually, even when I bought this I was thinking "you are such a mug!" because this was around the time, maybe 4 years ago, when 'mineral' was the holy grail of make up and every manufacturer was sticking the word on their packaging. Intuitively I knew it was daft because not many blushers are animal or vegetable are they? Anyway the colour was nice and I WBA. Wish I could say the same for the 'soft damson' one I bought at the same time but I'm persevering!0 -
Earlier I said that I was going to post a picture of my makeup collection (brave or what?! :rotfl:)
Here it is:
All of my makeup:
Nail Varnishes
Coloured Eyeliners (my downfall!)
Black Eyeliners
Foundations/Powders/Primers/Concealers
Lip Glosses/Lipsticks/Lipbalms
Eyeshadows
Mascaras
I think I hoard makeup more than normal toiletries! I always like to vary my style.:o
I have a penchant for coloured eyeliners, as you can possibly tell.:o
Sorry for the the many photos. I can delete them if anyone wishes.:o2019 Wins

In relieved mode tonight because I just found out today that a grievance I raised about my boss's bullying has been upheld. Asset, this is why I was interested in what happened to you. It has been a horrible experience and I don't feel jubilant, just exhausted.
Not sure whether I would advise anyone else to do the same, even though I won. I've had to read horrible things about myself in my boss's defence ( he claimed that I am a fantasist, a liar, paranoid, rubbish at my job and a horrible person) and I've been through hell. Standing up to bullies (this one shouted at me, swore at me, insulted me, threatened me and told me to resign) is the right thing to do, but make sure you have plenty of documented evidence and trust nobody, especially HR.0 -
