  • Used Ups:

No7 Quick Thing 4in1 wipes. Have another one in the drawer.

Yves Rocher Inositol 2in1 reviving Cleanser. Not a rebuy. No bubbles when used, and if I wanted to use it again, I'd have to do an order. Which means I'd have to spend $45 to avoid postage and I don't really want anymore of their stuff.

What I'm enjoying about this forum is how so many items are the same the world over. Then the fragrences we use in our body washes are so different. Coconut and Geranium is almost impossible to locate sometimes.

No7 replacement will probably be bought tomorrow because SDM (kinda the Cdn. equivalent of Boots) is have 20x the points tomorrow if you spend $50. Which isn't that hard to do because the one near me sells milk and groceries in addition to drugstore stuff.

Oh, and houseguests? Remember that old saying? They are like fish. Keep only for three days.

ladymorticia care to share any quick reviews on your mascara collection? i love mascara reviews, there are so many rubbish ones out there :P

i've put a few more sealed items on ebay and i feel like i've made so much progress and shifted half my stash but it's more like 1%

    Ooo sure. :D
(I need to actually remember which ones I have as I can't tell that great from the photo.:rotfl:).

    Rimmel Glam'Eyes Day2Night Mascara
I actually really like this and it's the mascara that I tend to use the most (despite it supposedly having a brush for daytime and a different one for night time.:p). One end is a lengthening brush, and the other is a volumising brush. I usually use both, one after the other, as my lashes are a bit thin and I like the illusion of length. The mascara is really easy to appthe ly and it doesn't smudge at all (at least not on my skin anyway). It's really easy to grab all of the lashes with the brush (both top and bottom). It, however, doesn't seem to last from day to night. You would need to top it up at least once through the day but overall, it's a good investment. I'm not sure how much it retails out though as I won it.:o

    Maybelline Great Lash
Loads of consumers tend to rave about this and it's had equally both positive and negative reviews. I decided to try it anyway as the good reviews I read were really balanced.
However, I wasn't that enamoured with this mascara. The brush does pick up alot of the product (too much sometimes) and in some cases I had to blot some of the product off of the brush. I found it quite easy to apply, but it did tend to smudge alot, both immediately after applying and throughout the day. I had to keep checking to make sure that the product hadn't smudged again and made sure I carried wet wipes with me, just in case. The pink packaging is pretty, however, even if the product inside isn't necessarily as great as the aesthetics.

I'll carry on with more reviews tomorrow because my brain is getting foggy.:o

Watching Snog Marry Avoid. The amount of makeup some girls wear!

Maybe that's just because I have a very natural look through (apart from the bold coloured eyeliner that is!).

  • Don't you worry about contaminated mascara? I only keep mine for three months and then chuck them. Had a horrible eye infection once and they traced it back to the mascara.

Oh, and the Maybelline GL mascara? Most over-rated product ever.

I have to admit it's not something I've thought about (which I know is very bad on my part). I guess it's because I hate throwing anything out.:o Although, I do have a use for old makeup. I can use it to create art with! (so at least I won't feel bad about not using it on my eyes, because I can still use it in another way).

I agree with the GL mascara. I bought it because so many people raved about it and I was disappointed. I couldn't see where they were really coming from, to be honest, as my experience with it wasn't good at all.

  • UU16 - Balance Me Wake Up Lotion (250ml)

WIBA? Sadly I think they have replaced this with a spiced citrus scent which sounded promising but was disappointing. I love the Wake Up lotion and am happy that I have one left. It's one of my favourite body lotions - sinks in easily, smells soothing (doesn't wake me up at all!) and seems to make a difference to my skin. Lovely stuff :D

I am appalled Trudij at what your house guest has done. talk about leaving a bad taste in your mouth. I am sure karma will be back round to kick a$$ soon enough.

Sd - hope your aunt continues to improve and so does your back. Funny thing backs?!? I have a dodgy one too and it flared up last night. I was in work tonight walking like Frankenstein's monster. Fingers crossed I can get a physio appointment at short notice.

I have started to use Clinique's pore minimiser lotion in the mornings but tbh I haven't noticed any difference at all. Now it is a few years old but it smells fine and the texture is normal. I will persevere but already I am thinking WNBA. Anyone else tried it?

I tried a couple of the Clinique Pore Minimizer things, did not seem to do much for me either, TA one of them, the other still about somewhere. WNBA, but don't have much of an issue with pores now - drier skin post menopause and hot cloth cleanse these days, wish I had known about hot cloths years ago.

I hope the Karma thing works too, rotten way to repay you for all your kindness.

  • Another UU and a couple of splutters that will be finished over the weekend, looking forward to moving onto some new stuff soon:)

UU- Rehab mens morning glory moisturiser, WNBA, only have it as BF didn't like it and I doanted my Simple and thought I'd use this up instead for him. Rubbish and not worth the £20 odd it would have been if it hadn't been a freebie at a spa day.

A couple of INS Boots No7 day cream, BF got a voucher buying our maleria tablets so I treated myself to something nice to replace the Rehab. A freebie pantane masque from the Boots mag.

I'm Ebaying too, so broke and 3 trips coming up so best so clear some clutter. Have a good weekend everyone, looks like its brightening up out:D
Debt free and busy treating myself:)

No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales
