Ordered a few things from Ebay and amazon and also waiting for a bank card, new pin, letter from family and more.
I recieved a post on Friday which had a new bank card(but not for bank I was expecting) a bank statement, 1 small Amazon packet(waiting for 2) and nothing else.
I am not sure if letters are getting stolen or just not arriving but for around 15 items to go missing seems strange.
I asked at local sorting office and to be fair the guy did check the books and nothing for the block of flats was there but bluntly told me there was nothing else he could do as if its not on the system it cant be investigated.
There was 1 packet I ordered 2 weeks ago that was ripped and opened but apart from that nothing else.
Also my downstairs neighbour is waiting for a bank card which hasnt arrived and my other neighbours have only recieved junk letters from bt and sky one day.
What can I do to chase this up? something is strange if many items are going missing.

It is really the sender's responsibility to chase up RM, but no reason why you can't though.
I think RM do not consider anything missing until 15 days have passed.
You haven't said when this stuff was posted. Are you perhaps reacting too quickly?0 -
RM's customer services at twitter are generally pretty good. If they have had several complaints like yours, then they may get IB involved (RM police)
You mention that your in a flats, could it be that there has been no access and the postie has taken them back to delivery office, these should be logged but not all offices do this, our's didn't.
RM are also going through some changes atm, if u live in one of these areas, some of the post is being delayed, no matter what RM like to say. Posties not having time to finish and mail being returned to the office.4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -

It spreads out over the last 11 days bar Sundays obviously but for so much mail to vanish its strange, maybe one or two delayed but all of them.RM's customer services at twitter are generally pretty good. If they have had several complaints like yours, then they may get IB involved (RM police)

That is the common problem, its only a small block of flats but the door to building is locked so even if people are in then we have to pick up stuff.
We normally get very early deliveries as we live around the corner from the sorting office in a town centre so I assume they do ours at the start of the route.
Though the other strange thing is I ordered a £1 part for a friend 40 miles away and that never arrived etiher.0 -
If that's the case then definitely contact RM customer services either via twitter or email.
My daughter too had a problem with her postman. Basically wasn't pushing it all the way through the letterbox, found a lot of her mail in the street due to kids pulling it out (we suspect). Called in at delivery office to have a word, no change, contacted via twitter and I have to admit, someone seems to have had a word with him cos he's stopped doing it.
BTW, just because you live just round the corner from DO doesn't mean it will come early, the way RM are doing things, this could possibly have been changed to a last stop, so that they are nearer the office for taking things back. This is the way RM are changing things for the better... not saying that's happening where you are, but if they are going through a revision.... the mind boggles about how they thought this was right.
Glad I got medical retirement when I did4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -
Well after no post today again I opened up a twitter account and got a fast reponse and told the area manager will get back to me within 48 hours.
I am still unsure if its being stolen or not since just found out someone has stolen my identity(the ex tenant who did a runner after stealing giros, cheques, birthday cards etc) so theres a chance he stole it as he does night shift and has to walk past property on his way home.0 -
You mention a block of flats, is the post going through your actual door or through a front door to the whole building thus being left in a shared area?In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0

Shared area, hence thefts from other tenant in past
Strangely after complaining yesterday I had 2 council letters today, 2 little packets and a red card through door so dont know if the complaint had anything to do with that.0 -
And we are back to the beginning.
Parents sent a letter on Thursday that hasnt arrived, had 2 of the "lost" items resent Monday and havent arrived
No letters yesterday but got a pin number sent on Thursday arrive ok(prob as I checked at 10am, the 10.30.
The only other suspicion is that new tenants moved in a month ago and its been since they moved in things have gone missing and just found out one of them is fresh out of jail.0 -
Sounds like you need to speak to whoever manages your block of flats and get some secure post boxes sorted.
I live in a block of 9 flats, we all have separate, secure, post boxes outside the front door.
If you suspect post is being stolen by a neighbour then get the Police involved.0 -
The landlord owns 3 out of the 4 properies however mine is rented through agency.
The agency is useless and been verbally abusive to me in the past over phone over late rent payments(normally due that day or no more than a day or two late) and landlord just changes subject about replacing lock.
I met the other landlord a few days ago and mentioned about lock and ex tenant having key(his tenant as it matters) and he denied it then went on to say it doesnt matter since the lock is broken anyone can get in with minimal force(dont know how that is backing him up about NOT changing locks)0
