Anyone go see the Dictator last night? averagely funny i thought, what wasn't funny was having to sit through an hour of tedious live coverage of the world premiere red carpet before hand!!! Am never one to look a gift horse in the mouth and am grateful for these free screenings but really??? put a real dampner on the atmosphere at the screenening (in Bristol) and several people chose to walk out before the movie had started as the film co people had no idea when the movie would start...0

I went in London, the movie was supposed to start at 1845 but started just before 1900, they were showing the coverage as well but I didn't really mind tbh, although sometimes it got too loud for me to talk with my friend :P I liked the movie but it was a bit on the short side!!
Same here. I'm pretty sure all the cinemas were getting the same feed, so I'm not quite sure how the previous poster got an hour of red carpet??
It was down to start at 6.45 so 15 minutes late is pretty good! At a normal showing you get 20-30 minutes of adverts and trailers after all!!0 -

We started at 7:25!
Was just constant footage of people on the red carpet signing and posing for the cameras, we even had another 10 mins where they rerun his arrival in the Lambo on the back of towtruck which they showed by popular demand (how? by who?) from 7:15 onwards...0 -

Er, so that's 40 minutes of red carpet? You said an hour...
I'm surprised people were walking out due to that kind of delay. As I say, you can get half an hour of trailers and ads with a normal film that you have to pay for, so to wait 40 minutes for a FREE preview seems pretty good to me!0
