Me... still nothing at my local venue, or anything nearer than a train ride away.
I guess it depends how far you are willing to travel. When tickets come up for Manchester Trafford Centre Odeon or Manchester Lowery Vue, or even Bolton Cineworld, if I want to see the movie I will make the trip as I am still getting a free movie ticket. Those venues are 10 miles, 4 miles, and 17 miles respectively, away from where I live, and I don't drive so take public transport.0 -
It's the first time I've been to a preview with a security guard - is that a common occurrence?
I went to a preview of the new Evil Dead remake at Cineworld Bolton, and there were two of them at the door watching us turn our phones off before they'd let us in.
Funny the films they choose to have security at. That's the only time though, although they did have a guy in a suit at the Manchester Odeon screening of Saving Mr Banks that I went to, but he just opened the door for us. Perhaps we had innocent faces0 -

I live in Liverpool and occasionally travel (by public transport) to parts of Manchester. Although Trafford Centre is damn difficult to get to!0 -

I am more than willing to travel further to see a film but due to my health that is not possibleI saw Philomena locally and even at 90 minutes I struggled. I am keen to see how I am with a longer film but alas no Saving Mr Banks to test this out so I need to be patient a while longer to wait for another film to come up. There are just so many for SMB I thought there would be one locally and there hasn't been.

As a matter of interest, where is "locally"?0 -

We did discuss a few pages back that where I live only has one CineworldAs I don't drive nor is there anyone to give me even an occasional lift, I can't get to anywhere else with a cinema unless it's a train ride, and buses both ends on top (assuming you can get to cineam by bus from train station however many changes). Just not possible with my health. And financially with no guaranteed entry to the film it wouldn't be a great fit.
Still as I said, I am disappointed SMB hasn't come up locally considering there are so many previews, but I can be patient until something else comes up.

Yes, I do recall all that but you have never (as far as I have seen) said where. But that's your prerogative.
I too have health issues/problems and am disabled so I empathise.0 -
I won't come right out and say where I live no, but the clues are there in my posts site wide to my nearest venue (which is not necessarily the same place I live), Quoia figured it out0

Northampton i'm assuming. When you're happy to lay down clues for people to figure out where you live i'm not sure why you're too paranoid to actually come out and say it, especially when people are trying to help you
I live in the Northern Quarter in Manchester. You're never going to find me because a) you have no idea what my name is b) you have no idea what I look like c) i'm not the only person living in the Northern Quarter, and finally d) i'm sure you don't care about finding some random person from a money saving website, as can be said for the rest of us.0
