What did everyone think of Contraband last night? I really enjoyed it, daft though it was! I've even bought the Icelandic original, Reykjavik Rotterdam, to see how it compares.

I actually thought it was pretty decent. Only thing I didnt like was the fact he heard a mobile phone ringing over the sound of a busy building site with a cemet mixer churning out cement..

We thought We Bought a Zoo was absolutely superb, and were in tears at several points as it's deeply and profoundly moving, and the way it dealt with loss, from both Damon's and the kids points of view was superb. The scene where father and son shouted at each other was just gobsmackingly good, and if it's not up for some Oscars next year I'll eat my hat. The child actors were all fantastic.

It also has a breathtakingly beautiful score by Sigur Ros man Jonsi and as usual for Cameron Crowe's film, the song choice is also excellent.

We noticed in the credits that the real Benjamin Mee and family had a cameo as zoo visitors but we didn't spot which they were...

We also went to see it on Monday - it was my first freebie and was thrilled! Great film loved all of it, espiecally the gorgeous animals!

Just a shame they didnt stay true to the story and base it in the uk but I guess they have their reasns!

    So annoying.
I have been checking the Sky site several times a day for the Headhunter tickets becoming available - I even checked this morning at 9.30, and nothing.
Just got back on-line and the site has become live and all tickets for my cinema have all gone !!
    Talk about bad timing.

Oh well, I have been 3 times this week to see previews, so I cannot complain.

Don't worry, as soon as people realise it's a foreign film they'll give their tickets back and wait for the inevitable US remake.

I've been looking forward to this film for ages so i hope it doesn't disappoint.
  • Does anyone know if the latest code posted (for The Hunger Games) is American Express customers only? It's got their logo on the showfilmfirst page and they usually require evidence of your American Express card don't they? Don't want to book a ticket if I can't use it! :)

Unless it states on the ticket then you'll be fine

Just wanted to throw out another big thanks! to all the code posters, your time is massively appreciated.

I looked at my SFF account recently and it turns out I've been to see around 40 films since first signing up with them. Most of those came from here - awesome.
