It looks like there are more tickets released for Cloud Atlas on Monday...I don't want to incite any biting and hair pulling, but if this is the sort of thing to go on the Codes thread, I'll leave it to someone else.

You pick the location & dates, & it's no more cost than buying a magazine or weekend newspaper & I have had plenty of thanks (as well as PM's) to say thank you for bringing it to people's attention.

Firstly the Codes Only thread IS on the Freebies NO SPEND forum and NOT the Freebies Low Spend one.

Secondly there's a vast difference between posting a SFF code from a newspaper or magazine where more than likely there is no need to buy it, and if at all (cinema goers choice), not at least before securing the ticket(s).

This actually requires 4 tokens, at a cost of £1.60 to £2 to buy them, without any guarantee of getting tickets.
You have to pick 2 of the 4 films, each movie being screened on a specific March weekend, and IF you make the cut when applying (first come first served) you'll be told which one you can see on either the Saturday OR Sunday of that weekend.
So you can't pick A specific film or choose the day to see it.

And I wonder how many will be left bereft of tickets, like those very recently void of RSH codes, having bought several copies of the Sun.

I have seen people turned away from screenings for not having the paper/magazine page so maybe some people are happy to not take this & be turned away - I am not!

This is 40..... what a pile of crap! People actually fell asleep during it, I was tempted to walk out, but it was near the end so thought I'd save myself the embarrassment

Let's hope the rest to come are better

I wasn't very impressed either – it was so long and not enough happened. Definitely not as funny as Knocked Up!
  • I thought This is 40 was okay... some moments where it made me chuckle but no laugh out loud moments. It was at least half an hour too long though. Glad I didn't pay to see it!
  • Keep it friendly please everyone. Remember you're all here for the same reason - to help each other grab free cinema tickets. There's no need for disagreement.

Please remember board guides are volunteers, they're not expected to spot and deal with everything and in fact rely on you guys to let them know if they haven't.

    Andrea :)

  • I enjoyed This is 40, it was to long but so are all Apatow's films, but I thought it was refreshing (and somewhat brave) to have a mainstream romantic comedy without an over the top or cheesy plot.
The laugh's were pretty constant in the cinema I was in and my friends and general chit-chat after the film everyone seemed to enjoy.

    Have to agree.
The best bit was the one out-take they showed during the credits. Not worth sitting there for 2 hours but it was one of the very few bits that made me laugh.
  • Song for Marion. Just noticed still tickets left for leeds light and sheffield vue code 654564
