Received letter this morning from B stating they are looking into our complaint regarding the sale of PPI insurance policy and will let us have a reply ASAP, at least we are up and running on the first rung of a very long ladder no doubt with many more rungs to follow????

    Hopefully not! fingers crossed.

They will send you the questionnaire to fill in.

Should we be chaseing B's up now as our PPI Claim would have reached them at the latest on 3rd/4th Feb, the only letter we've had from them dated 08/02/2012 which is a letter aknowledging they have received the PPI claim and that they are looking into it and will reply as quickly as possible, it is now the 8th of March would it be advisable to contact them to see what is going on, or should we wait for another couple of weeks or so.

Give them until the end of this week, phoning does not make them go any faster :D

My son has just found Over £1000 pounds credited to his bank account over the weekend, we assume it must be from his PPI claim from Barclays but cant be sure as there has been no correspondence since our phone call to them on the 12/02/12 we are waiting to see if there is a letter in the p[ost from them in the next couple of day's.
Strange way to do buisness though you would have thought they would have put a sum forward by letter to see if we were in
agreement before paying it in to the account.
On our workings out the amount due and the amount they have credited is about right so there are no arguments there it's just the way they have done the deal. should we hold tight and see if a letter turns up or should we phone them to confirm that the payment is from them.

Just found out from my son that his mini statement from the hole in the wall states "PPI Refund" so that clears up where it's from, as the amount is right I will class this as closure to this successful ppi claim. I would just like to close by thanking all of you who helped on this site in this successful claim, your help and guidance was very much appreciated thankyou all and good luck for the future
    .

I'm certain you'll also get a letter, probably only posted the same day as the redress was deposited into your son's account. As you say, strange that they didn't wait for you to accept their offer.

I agree, maybe it's because he has a B's account or that they are inundated with work to get it all sorted out I don't know but as it's over and above what we calculated and were not sure wether he would get refunded for all three loans anyway (dateing back to 2003) we are very satisfied with the amount refunded and will accept it with open arms so happy days.

I guess Barclays were gambling on that being the case.
Just be thankful you weren't waiting on LloydsTSB who have the opposite habit of sending Redress offer letters and then taking months to payout.

You were right we received a letter from Bs yesterday explaining there workings out and amounts refunded for each of the three loans, so fair play to them they paid up without any hassle, so that's it then job done. thanks again to everybody on this site, coundn't have done it without you all.
