Checking back in after a few days of computer playing silly beggars. Just when I had a magazine to get out too! Seems to be better today although very coy about letting me see any of my emails.
Had a little skim through the last few days' posts.
JackieO: regretfully not surprised that the driver didn't stop. Once saw people actually stepping over an elderly lady who had fallen in Guildford High Street.
JG: Poor little Eliza. Poor you too, it's beyond horrid seeing your little one unhappy.
Had a fright this morning, came down to find the freezer leaking all over the floor and things just beginning to thaw inside. Mopped up, jiggled things around, hit the machine, wept a little. Something seems to have worked because it's working again. Just about the last thing I need right now is to have to fork out for a new freezer.
HM vegetable soup today with a chocolate muffin for the one of us not trying to lose weight.
Lots of paperwork to do for solicitor re: house sale. The things they want to know!

Sorry to be MIA, but 2 x 5 hour mens tennis matches certainly saw off Friday and Sunday:o
Welcome Lillibet :hello:, have I not seen you on here before?
Thanks also to those of you sharing your cold weather with us next weekend, we may see 0C and only up as high as 6C on Saturday, but this is an improvement on the forecast yesterday that it would go down to -2. Seriously though, keep warm folks, thinking of you.
We are now setting the alarm for 8.30am as we found we were not waking up until around 10!! So are up, dresssed, washing done last night hung out, on my first coffee, S&K in the SC, after brekky we are off to have a game of Boules.
Yesterday we were treat to a meal out with one of our neighbours who we had taken back to the UK in November, we know financially we are in a much better position, so would not take any fuel money, as we were going anyway, so the meal was a ty. Lovely restaurant, I had Serano Ham with Melon, Leg of Lamb with Mint Gravy, and Apple Strudel, together with 1/2 a bottle of red wine, options from the 15€ menu del dia. They then came round to us to play Skip-Bo and have a glass of wine (or 2) in the evening.
Had a brief interlude here, as didn't finish my post before Boules so have now been, stocked up at Lidl and just going to sit on the patio with a coffee.
(((hugs))) all round, especiall Molly, Mrs_Mix, LW, Jackie-O, Lou and Ethan, JG & Eliza, and thinking of Jackie-G today, fingers crossed for her.

Afternoon all,
Hope everyone is doing ok or recovering from whatever ails them, otherwise have a free (((hug)))
I'm feeling in a cba mood today really regarding housework. With 3 men in the house its very often like groundhog day  In an effort to shake me up a bit I got a lift to the nearest shops off DS2 who popped back for a flask and sandwiches for him and his dad,and then walked back home.Brr it was bitter.Got a book from a cs,some get well cards off the little market, then into B&m for some tinned tuna and other bits.Sorry if youve fallen asleep,I've just bored myself too:rotfl:Enjoyed the walk back though.I'm really missing my niece since she went back to work after mat leave, she would pop in or I would walk down there. She should have a day off a week but has been on training days the last couple of weeks, and this week too, though I am meant to be minding the baby on Thursday.
Dgd visiting tonight :j,we usually have tea early when she is coming so better sort it out soon.I also have a letter to do which i have been putting off for ages
Monnagran-hope things go smoothly with your house sale.
Bitsy-enjoyed reading some of the blogs on your homepage yesterday(and yours of course)

Cold here, tried to snow but really weedy snowflakes. Epic fail there I want some big fat fluffy ones
Got piece of pork in SC, going to stick BM on in a mo. General tidy the house up day today. Feel rotten with a cold, DS had me up at 4am for ages so living on coffee today.
Also want to make my horse chestnut gel, one of James Wongs recipes and I want to see if it has any benefit on my legs and I refuse to pay the prices for it online when I can forage the horse chestnuts for free :money:
Hugs and spoons all round.
Mrsmix - hugs for you xxx
Lillibet I have never used easiyo but was it in date? Normally when HM yoghurt doesn't set it's because the starter isn't fresh enough or maybe it didn't maintain temperature for long enough?

Afternoon All
JackieO, hope you're ok, can't believe the car driver didn't stop to help.
Hugs to those feeling down or poorly. Hope Eliza is improving JG.
Been to the doctors about my toes, they are ingrowing toenails but not infected so will just let the nails grow longer or go the chiropodist (sp). I think letting the nails grow will be the cheaper option! If they don't improve I will make an appt. Also asked why I had ringing in my ears (DD said she has been shouting at me) and I have catarrh that is blocking some tubes in my ears. Am inhaling meths crystals regularly now too)! Felt a bit of a fraud when I had finished.
Had to buy a new fire grate as ours has a hole in and the coal falls straight into the ash tray!
Had a lovely surprise when I came home - DD had made spag bol for tea which was really good. Just wish she would do it more often!
Washing on airers all over the place and heating on full as it's freezing! Going to do paperwork tonight and finish knitting the slippers for DD. Take care. XX0 -

Hi Donnygal!
Yes, was quite active some time ago - I was in the middle of a horrendous house move at the time. Very stressful. Been in my lovely little cottage nearly 2 years now and have never been happier. I have my much-longed for woodburner, a gorgeous range cooker and a back garden that opens onto open countryside and woodland. The spaniels think they are in seventh heaven.
One of the items on my '2012 To Do List' (I don't call them New Year Resolutions) was to fully embrace the OS lifestyle and that involves getting back into MSE. The support I have had from lots of you over the years has been invaluable and I am loving being back in the fold.

Evening All,
Bit subdued here today, as some of you may have seen two lads aged 17 & 25 that have been missing since the weekend in our local area have been found murdered!! Known to DS & DD1, although not close friends it has certainly given us all pause for thoughtMy heart goes out to the families & I'm just so glad that I know where mine are tonight.
Hugs, spoons &hi5's as needed x
