  • Good morning all.
No frost here today but very dull and overcast. It is cold too.
Not too much planned here, off work today. Still feeling a little sore.
We are having somebody come round today to measure up for windows. Don't know if we will be able to afford it, we will see. It will only be the front if we go ahead.
Dinner tonight is gammon steaks with hm wedges and salad.
JG, i hope Eliza's toe is ok and that you are ok.
I hope everyone has a good day and hugs to those who need them.

    Morning all,

Cold and frosty here too, got a load of towels on the line in the good breeze, so should dry off today.

DD and I have the dentist at 11, just a check up so should all be ok, we need to pop into Mr T to see if we can get her a cheap pair of smart black trousers for her placement next week.

Before we go I need to tidy through downstairs and clean kitchen and put yesterdays washing away.

Sausage and mash for dinner with onion gravy, should help to warm OH up when he gets in.

Was thinking yesterday the daily is getting quieter and quieter, will a lot of the old posters missing, we are lucky to get over one page now, its such a shame, I wonder why they are not posting ??

Jackie O I am  about that driver too, hope you are ok.

Better get on, have good days all xx

    Best of luck FMW.

Morning all, got up to hang out the washing - well drape it around the radiators whilst the heating is on. Might as well take advantage of the heating! My bread machine decided to walk off the kitchen worktop last night whilst it was doing its stuff. Not sure how it did it, but it was in the middle of the kitchen floor - so it must have flown!! Unfortunately it is broken, so will see if I can get a cheap one second hand or something.

:eek:Mine did exactly the same thing last night! How strange. Fortunately, although the lid broke off, I managed to gaffa tape it back on and it still works.

Sorry I've not been around for a couple of weeks, I'm not in a great place atm. Lots of pain, limited mobility and money worries have sent me into a depression that I'm finding it hard to climb out of:o Never mind, this to shall pass.

    Hugs to everyone.

<waves at redruby> am trying to get back into the swing of posting :)

Cold here, tried to snow but really weedy snowflakes. Epic fail there I want some big fat fluffy ones :D
Got piece of pork in SC, going to stick BM on in a mo. General tidy the house up day today. Feel rotten with a cold, DS had me up at 4am for ages so living on coffee today.

Also want to make my horse chestnut gel, one of James Wongs recipes and I want to see if it has any benefit on my legs and I refuse to pay the prices for it online when I can forage the horse chestnuts for free :money:

    Hugs and spoons all round.

Mrsmix - hugs for you xxx

Lillibet I have never used easiyo but was it in date? Normally when HM yoghurt doesn't set it's because the starter isn't fresh enough or maybe it didn't maintain temperature for long enough?

    Morning

Cold and frosty here this morning, but no scraping for me as I cycle to work, should soon warm up as I pedal.

OS Washing hanging on airer in front of radiator, DW loaded, Tuna Pasta Bake for tea with hopefully some LO for tomorrow lunch. Hoping for cosy night in so should be NSD for me today.

Went to Ald! for first time for weekly shop last week, only spent £48 was really surprised and so far everything I bought has been good, tonight will be trying the pasta its a bit dearer than value brand but am hoping it will be good too.

Sky is starting to look dark, bet I am going to get wet on way to work.

    Thoughts to everyone.

Just a quick post to see if JackieO is OK? Can't believe the driver didn't at least stop to see if he could assist you in any way!

Reminds me of an incident some years back - how I first realised I needed to start using a walking stick. I was out with Penny-Dog, she was off the lead as it was up the little lane on the MoD land where I used to live - suddenly, my leg gave from under me, and I was on my arris on the floor. Looked around for anyone - not sure if I wanted someone to come and help (I had dreadful trouble getting back up) or whether I wanted to reassure myself that no-one saw me do that. Penny-Dog, bless her, walked about 30 feet away, and stood there with an air about her of "I'm not with that woman.... I never saw her before in my life....":rotfl:

Anyways, JackieO, I hope it's just your dignity that's dented, and that you're not too achy today.:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • Well Eliza took her medication better last night and this morning... she only gets upset now when her tummy bothers her about 1/4 of the way through administering! Only 6 doses left to go now :)

Had to take DS to the Drs this morning, he has a virus again and they only symptom is muscle pain around the heart! He's fine though... hes had this about 18 months now so i am used to just 'getting it checked'!

WM and BM went on at 6am, tidied the house and i've just got to hang the washing now. This afternoon I have the school run.

Yesterday DH made 3 lemon drizzel cakes (3 lemons 6 eggs down) only 6 more cakes to go... eggs are dated saturday, i've used 2, so technically 6 more eggs to use IF we get the other 6 cakes made!!

Hope evryone has had and will have a good day x

moorhen & forever saving Eliza's toe is now just fine, after sleeping loads yesterday afternoon she seems much better in herself too :)

bitsy I am using a syring, just she only takes 0.1ml at a time and has 3.5ml of medication 3 times a day :(

    Morning all
#Am still around just seem to be always at work so dont get much time to look in anymore not an early riser love my bed too much so only seem to get on here on my days off which are few and far between as am paying for DD1 s uni and am now looking for house rentals. DD2 is looking for prom dresses and is off to Paris with a friend to look at dresses for 3 days soon. DS is joining the TA fingers crossed and has his physical this weekend so loads going on as well as trying to sort our debts out with payplan seem to be calling them and creditors every day
Car has just been serviced so should last a bit longer and we are all fit and well so am happy about that
I do hope that all those who are missing are ok and just have busy times at the moment
  • Afternoon all

Been a bit bleurgh with a cold lately-courtesy of GN-but he is a little sweetie so will forgive him!

Cold here first thing...we must set the heating to come on before DH gets up for work-bit cold this morning I gather from the plaintive e-mail I had from work. OH is into 4th week of 90day redundancy consultation and doesn't really know anything yet.

I have been to the gym this morning and have done some washing. Need to give the bathroom a clean, do some jobsearch and cook bacon pasta for tea.

JackieO hope you are feeling OK, what a fright.

I am thinking about doing mothership's second purse as I have found a whole thread on it.

Hugs to all and sorry we have eaten all the Welsh cakes. There is Victoria sponge though with greengage jam (hm). ;)

    Have a good afternoon.
