My answer is to seek legal advice and not ask me...that should be obvious!

Because it's obvious that you don't have a clue about the legal system in this country?

Do you think that you are "a named or identifiable individual" here?

Maybe money isn't the issue...but punitive damages are!

I'd like to point out, first of all, that I'm no expert on these things, but I didn't think we had such as thing as "punitive damages" in the UK.

I'm happy to be educated though.

Apparently, in England and Wales, the equivalent is exemplary damages which are limited to the circumstances set out by Lord Devlin in the leading case of Rookes v. Barnard:
    1. Oppressive, arbitrary or unconstitutional actions by the servants of government.
    2. Where the defendant's conduct was 'calculated' to make a profit for himself.
    3. Where a statute expressly authorises the same.
How do I add a signature?

Was going to post something similar, but no point in doubling up the same info.

Something I have noticed in all KJEF threads, is he or she uses a lot of american terminology instead of the UK equivalent. Could be pure coincidence that the mansion tv site has California law stated within it's T&C.

So KJEG has now joined AVforum to praise the values of the Mansion TV and make subtle praise of mansion themselves . He is certainly making it look he has nothing to do with Mansion Tv.

Why not simply phone up mansion tv and ask to speak to the technical department for advice.

Don't ask again about your affiliation to the company, not unless your willing to name yourself.
Mansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j

In that case, from what I've read on here, none of that applies ..... does it?

  • Still no refund people!!
Sent an angry email last night to Mansion. Spoke with 'Susan' at Mansion on the phone this morning and then received an email from 'Steve' at Mansion.
My refund should have been given on Tuesday the 17th of April. I called on Tuesday the 17th, as I had not got this refund. 'Carl' at Mansion said this was because they had a delay and had only put it through on Monday the 16th of April, despite an email on Tuesday the 10th of April saying I would receive it within 5 working days. Any how Carl guarantees I would receive it by Thursday the 19th. And yep you have guessed it I didn't.
I spoke with 'Susan' on Friday the 20th to ask why I had not received it. 'Susan' tells me it was put through on Tuesday the 17th (funny that as 'Carl' said Monday) and that I should have it by midnight...ummm yeah right!
This morning 'Susan' gives me refund authorisation number and tells me it has def been put through. Then I receive the email from 'Steve' at Mansion saying that I will have a refund by Wednesday as it was only put through on Friday the 20th. So how on earth did 'Carl' guarantee me on Tuesday that it had been out through on Monday and I would receive it by Thursday, when 'Steves' says it was only out through on Friday!! I have a record of all these conversations.
It is actually laughable at how ridiculous this is, they can't get a story straight between them! Anyway I am now going through my credit card company (who say the authorisation number given by Mansion this morning means nothing to them). I am now going to take action against Mansion, for the principle of it more than anything.

Sorry to be a killjoy, and entertaining as this thread has become, can I suggest that we stop humouring KJEG. We had nearly 100 posts (excluding any that have been deleted) over a five and a half hour period following his post at 9:50 which simply said:

OK children...are you sitting comfortably with your popcorn for another interesting evening of debate?

By playing his game (which is not debating) we’re simply pushing the real issue about avoiding Mansion way off the screen. If we ignore any of his future posts, and stop pandering to whatever strange obsession turns him on, then we may just end up with a similar post every evening until he gets bored; and hopefully recognises that he’s the “child” in the playground but nobody wants to play with him. All we need to do is post the odd reminder about the record of Mansion such as the one that BooHoo's just posted.
Never let it get you down... unless it really is as bad as it seems.

This does so remind me of the Computerwebstore scam - identical promises that materialise very rarely - and as said some time ago, these guys domain is registered to the same address in Liverpool as Computerwebstore.

My advice to you, and evryone else who has ordered, is put yr request to cancel in writing, recorded mail. If you have the time call Durham Trading Standards on 0300 026 0000 and ask to be put through to Trading Standards.

True, I missed the detail in having to scan so many posts!
