Usually on a Friday , if you hear that sound , it's him ! We are the women trying to look unharrassed as people turn to stare . I know it's a man thing , but did he have to start disliking shops so young.
I will keep an eye outSince when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0 -
What a lovely idea for a thread. I've often wondered if I pass any MSE users in the street or shops.
I probably look like alot of other office workers when I go to Sainsbury's on my way home. People may think I'm texting in the aisles, but I'm using my phone's calculator to work out discounts. I'm more conspicuous at the check out where I bulk buy an offer for my bunker store. I'm often told I look very serious, which is perhaps a bit off putting, but I don't mean it to be.0 -
I'm the one with my fingers in my ears if people are eating, or chewing gum, in my presence.
Thats me!!
Im the one pushing the full 'little' trolley around the supermarket looking annoyed as Im trying to retreive (sp) my OH who I lost at the first aisle!! Well that was me earlier! He always manages to disappear!
Other than that youll see me with my hair scraped back, unless I've just had it done, in my black parka, always in jeans, U*G boots (present!) and random pieces of paper falling out of my pockets (to do lists, shopping lists, proof of postage, chewing gum wrappers)0 -
I'm the short, roundish one refusing cake in the tea rooms (unless it's a freebie biscuit) and only having a basic cuppa, none of the fancy beverages that cost a fortune, and anyway I have to record my weight loss on the OS board
. Wearing trousers and chunky sweater from a cs, with cheapo college haircut, trial moisturiser, bogof eyeliner, freebie mascara, and sporting a safety pin on which are threaded little lengths of the ribbon hangers from inside my clothes to brighten it up. I'll be at the YS shelves/cool counter/freezers two or three times in my monthly visit to the supermarket to check nothing's been marked down again since I was there 15 mins ago. It has happened! I'll be parking in the disabled bay, the pennies saved go into the whiskey bottle and recorded on the 'Every penny's a Prisoner' thread. I can be seen bending down to pick up a coin from under a counter, car or even a foot, if I notice one tread on it.
I reckon we MSE'ers are a pretty noticable lot when we're 'at work'!0 -
I'll be the one hefting a bass guitar on the bus. Or waiting for my gig to start, drinking pints of iced water because I refuse to play anything other than 100% straight.
Blondish hair at present. Lots of eyeliner (I reckon Amy Winehouse got the flicky thing idea from me when she was at school near my old stomping ground ).
Jeans. Blue, black, green. Lots of tops, mostly black. DMs or black suede boots with crepe soles, or trainers. leather jacket.
Oh yeah, nose ring, helix piercings and a dragon tattoo on my back. Often reading a sheet of music.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
