I am this slightly dotty looking older lady (greying hair in a messy bun, no make up, dressed all in black and wearing biker boots) - I will be perusing the bookshelves at the local charity shops!
OMG - Is THAT what I look like??????????? time for a makeover methinks!
note to self - must let my granddaughters take me shopping for new clothes, make up, and sparkly shoes!0 -
You wouldn't because I don't really exist.
Quiet, window shopper, looking but not buying, ignoring the little large lady staring back from the reflective shop window, always on my own but I'm happiest this way.
That made me feel a little sad rikki#118 DFW Debt freely Christmas 2012 Challenge0 -
I'd be totally unnoticeable, except perhaps when rock music is playing in my car, at a volume that would make people think I'm old enough to know much better!0

I'm the one wearing furry boots (I've got 3 pairs now, all bought on special offer (of course!
)), talking about cooking and usually wearing or carrying something yellow (my favourite colour).
Oh, and I've got one of these attached to my keys.Back after a very long break!0 -

LMAO - reminds me of the look on these teens face when OH dropped me at a cash point and I had Linkin Park absolutely pounding from the speakers - and yelled at him 'Dont turn that back to Real Radio - I'm LISTENING to it'! bless them - they gave me a round of applause and shouted 'way to go, gran'!!!!!0 -
I'm the sad woman in outdoor wear trying to keep a manic bull terrier under control and leaving a trail of biscuits and dog poo bags in my wake. Plus money off vouchers sticking out of every pocket. Practicality has finally won out over style - must be a sign of aging.
(Sad as in "look at the state of her" not as in depressed btw. My family joke I'm going to be the mad woman with the house full of pets and old newspapers in years to come.)
Ahh, hello sister, there you are:)
In addition, I'm also the one with the "dragged through a hedge backwards" hair; light smattering of dog hair on what used to be black jeans; a permanently bewildered expression on the face, so look like an utter simpleton (which of course attracts all other simpletons in a 100m radius, or others who think I may need a little help myself:)); who carries the mobile phone around the supermarket (for the calculator and because I can never find it in my bag if it rings); sidles up to other shoppers like an MI5 operative, quietly stating things like "they're on BOGOF you know" (if the shopper only picks one of a BOGOF up); looks speculatively at other shoppers buying stuff that's appeared on the Grabbit board; can be heard shouting "HEEL" at the kids (and it works!)
Oh - should I start wearing purple??0 -
MY GOD! Thats why I love this board!!! you are all as 'eccentric' as me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
my DD labelled me eccentric when she saw me adding marbles to a glass vase before filling it with water and flowers and when she asked what I was doing I replied
'I dont want the flowers to drown'. That cracked her up for some reason I have never worked out. seems very sensible to me!0 -
I'm the one with a briefcase full of marking and a carrier bag full of whoopsies, trudging up the road huddled in a coat unless it is 28 degrees.
I'm the one muttering "I'm sure I've a voucher for that", "where's my keys", and "I bl00dy hate January / the cold / marking" or "mine's a glass of red" or "what do you want for tea tomorrow" the minute the last person lays down their knife and fork
I'm the one with my fingers in my ears if people are eating, or chewing gum, in my presence.
I'm the one hissing "say please / thank you / hello / goodbye" to the children
I'm the one in Marks and Spencers with a cappuccino nattering to a friend
I'm the one glued to MSE at any given moment in case I miss something.I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
