Just to let you know that I just switched to Sky Broadband and line rental from Talktalk. Managed to negotiate free broadband and free line rental for 12 months (already have Sky HD+ with them including movies and sports). Switchover went really smoothly, all done within 2 weeks, and managed to keep my previous telephone number. Speeds are not as fast as talktalk yet but I've only been with Sky for 3 days so time will tell.

Yeah, previously had my line rental with Talk talk, but now moved it to sky. I had just finished a discount deal with sky (approx £20 a month off my £62 package) for my tv and had just tried to re-negotiate a new discount. They asked about my line rental and broadband and immediately offered it free for a year for moving over (with no other discounts on my tv package). I was happy to accept that cos I wanted Anytime + (didn't realise it was going to be offered to other ISP providers) so took the deal. As I said no problems yet. Would recommending switching if you can negotiate a good deal (they usually offer something every 6 months if you threaten to cancel).
