I popped into Sainsburys today and treated myself to a new Indian Cookery book with my nectar points, also some chillies and a coriander plant. Went to Asda on the way home and picked up four pots of double cream half price which are now freezing nicely in ice cube trays :) Have updated my signature and well on track.
    GC 2023 June £72/500 NSDs 1/10
  • Coming in to report a small spend in Mr T today for bananas and some sausages for Saturday's dinner while I was there. Also a pack of lush biscuits on offer fell into my basket, so £3.88 to report.

Helen - I don't mind being a number if that makes it easier. TBH, I never even read the budgets on the first page and just take note of how people are going through their posts. Am speaking for myself, but I think a list of participants on the front page is enough to keep everyone motivated. Thanks for all the work you do!
  • I'm still to add everything up for January and declare on the other thread but I just wanted to ask to be put down for £250 this month please.

We're moving houses soon so I'm not sure how this is going to affect our budgets. We're eating out of the freezer at the moment but knowing me, I'll end up buying loads once we're in the new place :o (I'll try not to this time though:rotfl:).

I hope all is well with everyone. Hugs to anyone who needs them. I'll catch up with the thread sometime over the weekend and get my GC totals up to date as I've bought a few bits this month already.

I had never thought of freezing cream in ice cube trays! It makes perfect sense now!:wall: I do that with wine, and pizza topping, but never thought to do it with cream til you said!!

    Question for everyone...
I really want to do hm kentucky fried/baked poultry ;) , does anyone have the perfect mix of herbs and spices they'd like to share?! I figure that it would be amazing to be able to do it at home occasionally, but have no idea about the mix!

Managed an NSD today, hopeful for tom too esp after my epic fail on Tues. It's funny how I now call £13 an epic fail, whereas before it would have been around £40!!

    Night all,

Thank you! I can't wait to try it - I have this week's meals planned, but have had a hankering for a kfc for a while now. Am trying really hard not to eat out unless it's an 'occasion', eg friend's birthday etc, so I didn't want to go to kfc, but I'm going to give it a try next week and see how it measures up! Thanks again.
