    Hi everyone,

My February officially ends tomorrow but we have everything we need for tonights tea (haddock, hm mini roasties and peas) and tomorrow (sausages and mash).

I'm visiting my Mum tomorrow, so will go to her Ald*. Quite excited about buying March's first week's groceries from there! How sad am I? (ok don't answer that :o)

Will now be posting on March's thread, so look forward to catching up with you all there. Good luck to all those still going with their Feb GC.

    Ooooh Tigerfeet,

Got my ROSSPA delivery also today. Very impressed with quality and just had a look on Mr T website. Even with their current fruit and veg offers I have saved over £5. well chuffed with that.

Well chuffed is the word :) even with the delivery charge.

Bit pee'd off with DH. I didn't realise that his Amazon account was linked to my grocery bank account and he ordered some downloads for the Kindle that I got him for his birthday on Sunday. In the grand scheme of things it shouldn't have mattered but I had already worked out what I would have left in the account after my Tesco order and paid some debts with it. Didn't think it would matter as it was the end of my GC month. So anyway the payment wouldn't go through. Tried to pay with my Halifax account but they don't take Electron, tried to do a transfer ( usually fairly instant) but Halifaxs systems are down. Arranged for redelivery tomorrow and hope I can transfer money before then.<tears hair out>

OH gets paid tomorrow so I am still here on the February thread. although not sure I should be as I have completely lost track of spending this month:(

I used my ood apricots, sesame seeds and almond flakes to make nigella's breakfast bars and I am still alive:D. I already had oats and hazlenuts so only had to buy condensed milk. I used completely different ingredients but they turned out really well...very yummy.

tigerfeet (hope I have got the right person!) I made the peanut butter biscuits - thanks for the recipe. they are so easy to make and so yummy. although I did find them extremely sticky when I was trying to shape them!

tigerfeet I bought OH a kindle for his birthday last June and didn't realise either that it would be linked to my amaz0n account. I made him open a new account as I could just see all my hard earned vouchers going on his downloads

Hmm! guess what he is doing tonight :D. I have to say though it has been a good investment so far in the three days he has had it. He likes the talking book function and puts that on for when he is in the car.

Not had that problem before  Try flouring your hands when making the balls, maybe.

Glad you enjoyed them though :j

Went to bung some rubbish out in the bins earlier and the rubbish lorry had been and on the handle of the bin was a hanger with the the information that this would be the last weekly collection and that we were now going two weekly. My neighbours came out at the same time and were having a natter about it and were wondering how they were going cope as they have overflowing bins every week. I didn't like to say that they should be recycling a bit more just made a comment about black boxes.

Well I was on track with £20 still to spend up to Thursday UNTIL I went to Waitro$e...Spot on timing as load of meats were reduced. Got 2 big bags of back bacon (4 packs in a bag) for £2.99 plus pack of sausages for 49p. Also 12 chicken breasts £2.59.

I have now restocked my freezer and feeling rather chuffed :D.

Dinner tonight was chicken and potato salad.

    Total spend £30.04

Updated signature and ......well I've more than 'tipped over the edge', as predicted - I've spectacularly blown it! As Ninno820 suggested I perhaps aimed too high (or low?) Somehow managed to spend even more than in January - need to try and analyse where I went wrong. Disheartened but not deterred - March here I come!
