Last nights dinner was Chicken Pakora from The Takeaway Secret book. T'was very scrummy indeed, everyone wolfed it down.
I had defrosted a 1kg pack of chicken thighs and used about two thirds of it. That did enough for five of us with some left over which I fried off this morning and gave to DH for lunch with some rice.
I am going to make Boneless bacon wrapped chicken thighs stuffed with Philly with what is left, I have some already made up in the freezer already which I have taken out to defrost.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -

Yay still stayed away from the shops and have a nice wee chunk of cash to put into the holiday fund on Thursday the start of my 'new' month.I can get used to this lack of shopping and abunndance of cash at the end of the month
My stocks of food are still fairly high but Thursdays shop will be for fresh veg and maybe some eggs so it wont be a great deal anyway.
Well done everyone for all your stirling efforts this month0 -

Yippee! My freezer has arrived and has received a thorough clean and I have Milton'd it!
I found the reason for the 'orrible smell. Behind the ice cube drawer was a rank packet of bacon which stunk to high heaven
Another NSD for me today as I am in spring clean mode and I have plenty in anyway. I will be portioning out my recent batch cooking and putting those in the freezer this evening.31.5/1000 -

Well, I am well and truly bust this month!!!
I literally have no idea how much I have spent, literally not a clue
I took about £120 from the bank at the start of the month and kept it to the side. Plan was that that would be the food budget. This was after we got a shop in, so it 'should' have been enough. As usual, £10 here and there was taken from it for an 'emergency' and change put back in, then taken again, then a little put back in. Til the point where I had no idea what was food and what was 'other' taken from this money. Plus my usual 'nipping to MrA's' to get my lunch for work.... It's £5-10 every time!!!
Okay, payday is tomorrow. Tonight I WILL do some sort of meal planner, after I list all cupboard/fridge/freezer food. Need to get a grip on this xCan't think of anything smart to put here...0
