Hi All
Another £2.24 to report from Mr S this morning. My plan tonight is using some Pork chops from the freezer, some green beans from the fridge (my flatmates from last Friday) and leftover chives from the fridge (my flatmates from last Thursday when he did fishcakes) in some mash from potatoes bought today.
HOWEVER, I'm debating whether to do this tomorrow because there is a bowl of leftover bolognaise from Lasagne my flatmate cooked on Monday (which we had yesterday as well - there was too much mince mix for the pan). There is also salad from Monday in the fridge which needs using up. I was thinking of using some mini puff pastry tarts from the freezer (Jusrol from Christmas 2010, which is annoying me being there!!), topping with the bolognaise mix (and maybe a bit of goats cheese to melt on top from the fridge) and serving with the leftover salad. Do think that sounds okay? Or should I take the bolognaise to work tomorrow with a jacket for lunch? Would the bolognaise actually be okay tomorrow having said that?
If I DO then the pork meal will be done tomorrow instead.
I'm too tired today - can you tell I'm indecisive. :rotfl:Grocery Challenge Jan 24 0/300

Apart from with jacket spuds, fish cake or pasta bake I have drawn a blank. Anybody want to throw me some ideas? Oh dear, gone over budget today by £7.87. Hoping to buy only a little more milk & fruit for last few days of month. Not getting too upset as it's only my 3rd month of GC and I did think I'd set budget a bit low to stretch myself. Have learn a few more lessons like check freezer last thing before shopping (so you don't buy an unnecesary chicken).
Well done ot everyone who's still on target - very inspirational.0 -

Popped into the co-op last night for some syrup for pancakes. Left with that plus a huge pizza for 65p (went in the freezer for dh's supper later in the week). Have updated my signature, not completely accurate as it's been crazy here. Have struggled with budget a bit this month as dh hasn't stuck to his bottle a week and agreed cigarette limit (he's getting the money for them next month and he can budget for himself, once it's gone it's gone as they say). Anything over that and he'll have to find the money from his savings but hopefully he'll realise how much he's spending then
Hoping to lower the budget again next month fingers crossed! Hope everyone is ok, will try and read posts over the next couple of days but migraine from yesterday is still lingering so typing with half closed eyes at the moment in a dark room.GC 2023 June £72/500 NSDs 1/100 -
