Afternoon all, just popping in to report NSD 5
Having a quiet afternoon trying not to fall asleep in front of Kung Fu Panda 2 and about to check out the recipe thread to get some inspiration for Feb 14th.
Not sure how well I'll do the rest of the week as it's half term but have put by £25 for entertainment and luckily the 2 movies they want to go and see are on Kids AM, phew.:T
Thank you for the looking after baby post! :rotfl::rotfl:Make £2020 in 2020 £178.81/£2020

Afternoon all. Reporting NSD No 7 today. DH killed yesterdays by going shopping with DD again. I've been so good by refusing to go near a shop and I love food shopping. At least we haven't had to buy any bread lately. BM has proved very useful.
Hugs to all who need one.S.P.C. 9 2016 No. 062 Banked £337.50

#8 for me please!
I've had a lovely day at work and have come home to a nice cup of tea or five and some HM Victoria sponge.:D
I'm off now for two days.I've had 3-in-a-row now, hoping for no. 4 tomorrow.
kerri gt I would be miffed too!Did you nip back?;)0 -
Rising - glad the vets went well - wish my bill was going to be that amount tomorrow, sadly I am fearing nearer the £50 mark
In answer to your question about NSD pots (which I don't personally use) it's entirely up to you, but personally if I had set money aside for something specific but spent less than expected and then spent the remainder on something else, I would count that as a spend since I wouldn't have bought the other thing otherwise - if that makes sense?
Ohhhh I totally agree with your there Kerri - I'm pleased to report that the remainder of the money set aside is still sitting in the pot!:)
Good luck with your visit tomorrow .....
Flumoxed my NSD with a couple of carrots and some potatoes for my soup but it will mean I've lunches for the next couple of days so hoping for "pay back":DGrocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

JINTY - just read back a couple of pages & saw your post re supervisor (& I use that term loosely) Agree with previous responses too. Supervisor should not be 'harrasing' you in your time off - also IMHO your targets should be set by supervisor & DISCUSSED (that's if they know what you're doing!!) at your appraisal. Sounds as if Sup is getting team to do his/her job too
Thanks Silva , and everyone who has offered advice.
I've decided I will have a chat tomorrow, but an informal one and I am not going to go in with all guns blazing. I think I need to listen to her side first and then explain how her behaviour is making me feel. I actually dont think she realises the effect her actions are having and have a feeling the sennding of the txt on Friday was not ill-meant but illadvised. Still, I havent been able to think staight all weekend I get mad when wrok encroaches on my personal space!
Any hoo - today is #6 please - yesterday was very spendy. Co$tco ( spent too much) then we got OH his old/new car. It's newer than Bertha, should be better on petrol so he's happy. We get it on Tues - Bertha is off to the scrapyard in the sky.
On the subject of birds, Marmite, I've had to remove all my feeders after I spotted a ginormous R.A.T. up the tree scoffing all the grub. Twice I saw it! :eek:They give me the willies:eek:
Not happy about that at all!
Chicken pot pie tonight for tea - made by OH, luvverly!
Have a lovely day everyone:)
P.S - Was really upset about the news re Whitney Houston, another total waste of a life, so sad.
you will always be rich enough to be generous.0 -
jinty how awful about the rat!:eek: My sister had the same problem.0

NSD no. 4 please
Jinty, Your supervisor can't be giving you work to do at the weekend unless you work the weekend. She has to trust you to manage your time properly. Micro-managing always reeks of being a control freak.
Good luck on Monday.
I am cancelling two Direct Debits tomorrow and crossing my fingers that an interested lodger will turn up. Sometimes they make contact, sound ideal and then disappear!!!:mad:Debt LBM (08/09) £11,641. DEBT FREE APRIL 2021.

No I didn't nip back today...but I did think that I might call the store tomorrow and if they still have them then I might do a quick pop over tomorrow lunchtime - I'm doing mince and tatties for dinner so need a carrot or two anyway.
Well done for keeping that spare cash in the tin :T
Good luck for tomorrow Jinty - I'm not sure if you said so before but is this person new to management? It sounds like she's being slightly over-enthusiastic about 'managing' people and going at it a little like a headless bull in a china shop.
quiet day here - me and OH had a really long lie in (NO sleeping...honestly you lot!) Just bought a screensaver and case for my new phone (which I still haven't started using despite having it for a week) but used gift vouchers already in my Amaz0n account :A Sooooo....I think I shall declare NSD #7 :j:j:j yay! go me! Going to start a list of little things I need in the week like a jar of peppers from the 99p store after someone mentioned using these for pasta etc, makes sense when you think 1 pepper fresh is pretty costly....although saying that I do have some frozen in the freezer already
