  • Sorry, all that chatting & i forgot what i had come for!!

Not one for me today, as much as i loathe mid week grocery shopping now i had to grab some plain flour & sugar as i didn't have any in & my friend has given me this friendship cake that needed them tonight.

I know that sounds weird, the only way i can describe it, is that it's a bit like a chain letter but in cake farm, she gave me this little bit of sourdough batter & some instructions, i have to add certain ingredients on certain days & then when it's done i divide it up, bake my bit & pass the other bits on so my friends get a cake too, that's why the flour & sugar couldn't wait!!

I hate starting the month on a spend day, but i'll be back on track tomorrow!!

I've heard of this, except it was called a 'Hermann' cake(?).Hope it turns out out well.

    Got my #1!!

    Ah,onwards and upwards....

It's -10°c outside, but the wind has died down -thank goodness.

Off to catch up on a few pages now.

    Brrrrrrrrrrr! -4c here this morning!th_a9.gif

Did and early run to A$da - all stocked up again, was beginning to feel like Mother Hubbard!;)

VERY glad to be off! It was hinted that I should work late last night - but I told her straight that I was leaving no later than 6pm. My work was all finished at 9am yesterday - I was covering someone elses stuff as they were off sick. ( It'll be me next at this rate!)
Got a text last night from my colleague at work to say she had got it tight from supervisor yesterday too - at least I'm not the only one and it's not in my imagination!:o Had a chat with a pal who works in HR ( in a different company) and she advised me to keep schtoom ATM but to keep a diary of "incidents" as she thinks I have grounds to raise a grievance.
I'm going to really try not to bore you all rigid with this tale of woe, sorry, I feel like a broken record!

Anyhoo, on the upside,I am off to my WW class,hoping/praying th_smiley_pray.gifto lose a pound as that would get me to my target! th_smiley_weighing.gif

Having lunch with M&D later as I havent seen them for ages ( although I live 5 mins up the road!) That will be lovely!

Oh - and I got # 1 yesterday too - that's what happens when you have to work your lunch:mad:

    Have a lovely day everyone!:)

ETA: Just back from WI - I did it!! 34LBS off - goal weight reached!:-)

:mad::mad: to work Jinty, but it seems sound advice that you've been given, & reassuring to know that the woman is a bit of a twonk with everyone!!

:j:j:j to the weight loss... well done you!!!!!

I did one of those once, it was called a Herman cake and made lovely cakes.

I have never been able to find the recipe to start it off though, I would really like to start one again :)

Couldn't resist having a quick look katy & found this (good old MSE :money:)

There's a recipe on page 5 & various links to other recipes, so you should have your very own Herman soon!!
I can't believe i seem to be the only person who hadn't heard of this before....

Oh, & before i forget with all my ramblings, number 1 for me today please Spoon :j
