Good evening :D Are you prepared for a shock? .......

    My oven is CLEAN!!!!!! :j:j:j
It took the man 3 hours :o He arrived early (luckily DH was here to let him in). When I got in I said the usual 'I don't suppose it's the best you've seen, but hopefully it's not the worst...' He said 'well it might be!':mad: Cheeky beggar! I suppose those that are worse just buy new ones!! :p He changed the light bulb, and told me it would be an extra £4 - ok I thought. The normal price is £60 (double oven), but had 10% off, so £54. When he finished, he said '£54 plus £6 for the bulb - thats £60' Huh? He said £4. I was going to bung him £5 as it was obviously such a nasty job! Needless to say, I didn't bother, as he is adding his own tips!! His loss!!
Anyway - it is sparkling now. I then cleaned the wall next to the oven, the drawers underneath, and the unit next to it - as they had black stuff splattered all over them! I also cleaned my sink, and descaled around the taps.

Still need to crack on with study tonight - time is running out!!

Hugs & spoons to those that need them :)

Do you have a local FB sales site? We do and people put on request for what they are wanting to buy as well as the things for sale.

I have a front bay window curtain with a large brown stain on it, gonig to take it down tomorrow morning and get it to the dry cleaners, as I don't trust myself to wash it right and they cost a fortune, so best pay out and get it done right.

    hello all

    busy
    day

upended DS's bed (again)n in attempt to refit castor and stupid holder thing - castor bent so I rootled through toolbox and found pristine castor but no 'sleeve' so bent castor despatched to dad for him to 'dremel' through it and get sleeve out for me to use with new castor...which he did. Stripped bed while I was at it and despite cold washing dried outside (presumably due to very dry air) so that's all been ironed.

Bathroom cleaned; nipped into work (and wasted 2 hours there) and spent ages, with mum's help, packing golf clubs sold on flea bay. Got to PO and she said she didnt think she could accept them - but I managed to balance them on the scales so they've gone.
Not yet booked appointments - hair/dentist and have now found smear reminder so that's another one to add to my list...
