  • Valentines is a waste of money anyway. Hugs everyone.

  • Even though a Valentine would be nice I won't be getting one. Going through a divorce at the moment. Never got one when I was with him 15 years!!(He got gifts from me). Was told they were a waist of money. Sometimes its just the thought that counts, some men can't say it with words so you might get a card. It's just me and the kids we've got plenty of love between us.:rotfl:
  • lol, I asked oh if he'd got me anything at the weekend, he hadn't so I told him not too bother!! Bah humbug!

  • LJ - you know how I feel about Xmas, and my feelings are pretty much the same about Valentine's Day (or VD :D). BAH HUMBUG!

However, if you really want a bit of fuss, I got you a card...

    I couldn't care less right now! :D

I concur - I can never understand why people have so much of their lives staked on some bogus holiday perpetuated by the bloody card industry. It's just a ridiculous amount of money...

It's almost as if you do everything you do for someone, but that only counts if you buy them a card once a year as well... why so arbitrary?

I think my point is, not worth cutting off your nose to spite your face, or getting down. They take your money and spread their misery... damn those companies!! :rotfl:

  • I am not into all the valentines hype and never have been. Me and OH dont bother with it all, although we used to - but even then we agreed that we would make our cards rather than buy them, much more personal and cheaper! we have never got each other pressies.

I'd much rather go out on a different night than pay a stupid amount of money for a set menu and be crammed into a restaurant with loads of other couples and rushed in and out again for the next sitting. I'd rather have a nice meal at home. Phew! Rant over! and don't get me started on flowers.....

I will be on my loansome 2nite as my OH is away all week so HUGS to you all xxx

one of the reasons my OH and I get on so well is our similar views on things like christmas and valentines.... we agree they are a load of utter commercial tosh! We endeavour to do lovely things for each other all the time... not on one day assigned by Hallmark & Interflora

Today is my Dad's 60th birthday anyway... so i'm going out for a meal with my family, which i'm really looking forward to to. :j

Well this is the first Valentines for ages I haven't "participated" in. Usually went out for a meal - but at the weekend. How many excuses do you need for a good nosh up at a good resturant? ;)

Ironically, although I used to buy flowers - not on Valentines.
