thanks I am actually sat here close to tears dreading my interview now . oh well !
There will always be people to criticize you and put you down in life regardless of what you do.
You just rise above it, go to the interview and get yourself that job!
You can do it, and things will work out they always do in the end. (one way or another)

The question ultimately becomes, does this person or group of people know what they are talking about? Are they trained and educated enough to post anything regarding this topic? And what do they have to gain by pushing such a belief?
In our current era it is simple enough to find the *credible* opinions by doing a Google search or even opening up a phone book.
If I'm building a bridge, the opinion of an engineer is going to be of greatest value.
Investing in my retirement? I'll find a financial planner.
Fixing my brain? I'll find a neurologist
hope this help..anyway why not try for a job in a school and you'll be of work when he is?“Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.”

You were not bullied in any way, dont be so daft.
We pointed out that its not a good idea to leave an 11 yo with ADHD home alone during the school holidays, no one bullied you and if you feel like a bad parent then maybe that is more a reflection on you than us.Pay off all my debts before Christmas 2015 #165.0 -
Trouble is it's all very well to tell people what they can't do in a smug way but it is often kinder and more useful to suggest alternatives in a supportive manner instead.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

She wouldn't only be getting £97 per week would she. She will get working tax credits aswell.mummyof5 is there any point in working. If you did get work for 16 hours at minimum wages you would earn £97 a week. Out of that you have to pay the costs of getting to/from work and have to pay for childcare although you get 70% of the cost of that back will you actually be better off? I would be entering figures into the benefits calculator on the turn2us website to see just how much better off you would be. Do you claim carers allowance for your son?I made a mistake once, believeing people on the internet were my virtual friends. It won't be a mistake that I make again!0 -
Got the general idea of what yr OP actually said. Well done for getting work etc, someone said on here the other day, when yr on benefits and getting back into work yr dammed if you do, dammed if you dont!!!! Anyhoo, if your hours change week to week (like mine, im on 0 hours contract) you need to average them out over a month for WTC and post yr wage slip in to council for HB. This may be different depending on areas etc though. xxxThe feeling i got when i confirmed my place studying criminology at Exeter Uni was brilliant!!!!!
The pride my children told me they had in me was even better!!!!! # setting positive example to children is OUTSTANDING!!!! !:grouphug::grouphug::smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea0 -
Well thanks for deleting the OP and making us sound like a bunch of meanies!! Which we were not being, by the way.
We were merely pointing out that it does not seem sensible to leave an 11 yr old with ADHD at home alone "as he usually sleeps til lunchtime anyway", moreover that you could not take him to childcare clubs as he "wouldn't go!"
Had you not flounced, suggestions might have included asking a friend to share childcare, seeing if there were any groups that he would have settled at, if there was an older friend/relative who might be able to step in in the holidays for a small fee..........but no. Flounce away

Careful you don't fall off your high horse, look what happened to Christopher reeve!
And for the record you made yourselves look like a bunch of meanies, and as several posts were removed from this thread it looks like the staff/mods of this site thought so too!

I felt sorry for you as you say in your signature that you have dyslexia but you are also downright rude with it too!
The OP has just asked for some help and all she got was your reply! This forum is meant to help people who need help, not to be attacked!!
And I also can't believe someone has actually given you a 'thank you' for your 'useful' post!
Bloody disgusting.
Yes you are right.
There is a growing and ever present trend on this site to knock anybody that is trying to get on in life but needs a little help.
Some are openly 'benefit bashers' and will do anything to make benefit claimants feel worse about themselves for looking for some financial help.
Then there are those that see this site, and in particular this forum as a means to vent personal anger if they suspect that someone is getting more than they do.
A whole sad community in part.
You are best to pity them and ignore them as they will move on to some other poor soul if they can't get a rise out of the first target.0
