Hester I'm in love with your blog, I was reading it for hours yesterday! It's inspired me to make a better weekly schedule for cleaning, cooking, working
It looks really cold and frosty out but I need to dig the garden today. Ah well, guess I'll be getting chilly!Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -

Morning everyone
Love and hugs to those that are having a hard/sad time at the moment x
Haven't been posting/reading as we've had a bit of a nightmare here. DH was admitted to hospital on Thursday with a suspected stroke, he was at work when it happened, so I've spent lots of time at the hospital, fortunately the brain scan was clear so it definitely wasn't a stroke so they also tested for a bleed to the brain and that's come back clear too, so he came home yesterday and he's resting - may be one of those things we may never know, but it really makes you take stock. I have to admit it's really scared me, DH is only 45 and I'm 42 - neither of us usually have any kind of particular health problems/issues so it's not the sort of thing you expect! The hospital were excellent and we can't grumble at all about their care at all, they were really thorough and looked after DH very well. They do an extremely difficult job in often challenging circumstances, they have our deepest thanks and gratitude.
Bright, sunny but chilly here this morning. Will be having a very slow and restful day, will be cooking some roast for lunch as DH has said he fancies some proper food - always a good sign with him, if he's not eating I know he really isn't well! Mum and dad have said they may take the boys out for a while this afternoon, that would be excellent as they've been shoved from one place to another and also very often without me being able to tell them what's going on. DH is looking to go back to work at some point this week and I'm going back on Tuesday - but we'll see.
Now need to go and get a shower as I'm still in my pjs - didn't wake until 8am - think it's the result of several sleepless nights, so will just be pottering today.
Hugs to those that want/need them, keep safe and well x

Thankyou adelight, are you sure it's my blog that has inspired you? I don't 'do' houswork, to a schedule or otherwise, or is in my shambolic lifestyle that has inspired you, as in 'I'm never going to get as bad as Hester', lol.
I've just taken pics of my clothes to do a 'capsual wardrobe' post, don't get excited this is not catwalk style, this fat 60 year old fighting to look 40 style.
Hubby has taken over the kitchen table to pot up some seeds, when he's finished I'm going to make a couple of cottage pies, a banana loaf (there are 2 manky bananas in the bowl) & some soup (there are some manky veg in the fridge).
Hugs Hester

Morning All,
It's a frosty one here as well.
Feeling really tired this morning, too many late nights so going to have a restful day and an early night tonight.
Need to drop my DB at his friends at lunchtime he will be out until early evening so will finish washing and putting it away and going to cook a piece of pork DH fancies it with salad so nice and easy.
Sadly my other DB has split from his wife after a year of things not going well, so staying with mum and dad at the mo until he can get his own place. Its definitely for the best but still sad when a relationship ends.
Really fancy a cuddle with DH and a film this afternoon but the DW is on the blink so he will tackle that later.
Love your paintings Taplady, you must continue with that
Hugs for anyone that needs one.

Thinking of Diva x
Not a good start to my day, woke up at 3am with a sickness bug  so didn't get much sleep. No idea where it came from, don't think it was something I ate. So I feel like carpStill in bed, just got up to make some peppermint tea and dry toast so will see if I can manage to keep those down. Not been sick for few hours so fingers crossed I'm over the worst of it.
Really annoying as I had lots planned today, and I've had to cancel my observed teaching for tomorrow morning in case I'm still ill.
No OS happening here.
Have a good day all

Cold and dull here today. Not done much today except school work. I think everyone will be glad to see January go, everyone at work is fed up and tired too. Even our dog seems to be down in the dumps-although he has just got very excited as DS is taking him out for his afternoon exercise-chasing balls. Need to go and tidy kitchen and marinade chicken for dinner.
Hugs to all who are peed off and poorly.
