  • Just noticed all those duplicate posts. Sorry.

I'm still waiting to hear. Either my answers were so bad that they have all been laughing :rotfl: too much to contact me or they are just busy. I'm checking my email about 1 million times per day.

Thanks everyone for the advice. :j

It was just over a week before I heard from them so I wouldn't worry too much just yet.
Debt at highest May 04 - £65,639.22 - Started DMP with CCCS 1st June 04 & now self managed DMP
Debt now 20th December 2015 £31677.13 Paid Off to date £33962.09 - just not going quickly enough!

Debt free date July 2024! I don't think so, it'll be going quicker than that!!!

  • I hadn't heard from them so after about a week I emailed them and it turned out I had been accepted and the email they had sent hadn't reached me.

I've been with them 7 months now and it has been great.

The main things to think about are length of answer, spelling, grammar and content as this is what you are marked on.

I did the initial application about a year ago but never ended up sending it off as I was worried about what was involved tax wise.

I may look into this again the next time some vacancies come up. Can anyone tell me how difficult/easy it is to do the tax related stuff ? I made my own spreadsheet for work which calculates how much Tax/NI I have to pay depending on my overtime etc. Would it just be a case of filling out some form with my earnings then paying the tax/ni contribution ?
  • Thanks Jules and Oakdale Minx. I'll give it a couple of days and if I don't hear I'll email them.

Lennon, I work too so if I was to be accepted I would have the same questions as you. It may be a matter of getting a tax return and declaring it.
  • Hi everyone,

Since reading about AQA here at MSE I've been checking every day to see if they need researchers but it doesn't say anyone is needed in Engalnd. Does anybody know if I just contact them will they test me and refer back to my application when they do need anyone?

    Thanks.

I've never applied by emailing them direct, i've always waited till its up on the vacancies page - been tracking and they adveritse quite regular, so far this year they advertised on:

    9th jan
    15th jan
    6th feb
    14th feb
    20th feb.
  • Hi Tigergold,

Thanks for your reply, I must have missed the advert on the 20th Feb! Can't believe that! Every time I check they are just advertising for Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. I shall be keeping a vigilant eye from now on!
    Thanks again.

Set their website as your home page, that's how I managed to apply in time, before they removed the UK ad later that day!

  • Hi

My husband applied for this after we saw it on this forum - thank you.
He received the first 12 questions to do last tues with a warning that they must be completed and returned within 48 hours so he sent them back weds evening but still hasn't had a reply. How long do you reccomend he waits before emailing them to see how he has got on ?
Like others of you he has been checking his inbox every hour for the last week but still no reply :o
