Take Freeview box and daughter's TV into lounge, where Sky box is.

Unplug the aerial lead from RF in on the SKy box and plug it into RF in on the freeview box, with TV connected to the freeview box, and scan for channels again. If you still have no channels, either there's no Freeview in your area, or something amiss with the aerial (pointing at wrong transmitter, etc)

If you do get channels with the box connected as above, directly to the aerial, then once it's scanned for them all, put the aerial lead back in the RF in on the sky box, take freeview box and TV back upstairs and connect to the RF cable that runs from RF out on sky box to daughter's room. If there's no signal now, then the sky box isn't passing the aerial signal through to RF out. I can't say whether or not it should be. Anyone?
On the Back of the Sky+HD box you have 2 cables from your Dish(which are tightened with nuts) and under those you have 3 "normal" aerial sockets. One will be labelled RF-In (or aerial in) the lead from your rooftop aerial goes in that the other two are labelled RF1 and RF2 Out. The cable to the daughters room will be in one of those, and the other should connect to your Lounge TV
