A Sky Magic Eye. There are several really good brands incl Vision, Triax, Antiference and global to name a few. You will need to run a length of coax cable from the RF2 output on the back of the sky box to her TV. Fit the Sky Magic eye inbetween the coax cable and her TV. Just search on ebay for one, they should cost around £5-£6. Some sellers even do a full kit including a remote control, coax cable, some cable clips and connectors.

My daughter needs one in her room soon as she still only has normal tv and tv coming from my sky, well its not multi room so she has to watch what we watch ! I was thinking of buying a digital box but her tv has no tv airiel, will the digital box work without one or not ! Thankyou
She already has the coax, but the point is the daughter will still has to watch what they have on downstairs (because they will not be happy if she changes the channel for them)

Livelyred, I assume her TV is not freeview , hence she cannot watch her normal channels, if so get her a cheap freeview box otherwise as I have said the magic eye will only change the channel playing on the sky box throughout the whole house. They start around £15 , and she will still be able to watch SKY too

  • this is a triax one on amazon: http ://www.amazon.co.uk/TRIAX-COMPACT-EYE-MAGIC-LINK/dp/B0045R31EQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1327703463&sr=8-1

i cant post links as im a 'newbie'.

The only way she can watch seperate channels to you on a sky box is to have her own sky box hooked directly upto the dish!
Sky will charge you an extra £10 on your monthly bill for a 'clone card' giving both boxes all the same channels.

If you can get freeview reception where you are consider getting her a freesat box and hooking that upto the sky dish.

as said, either pay sky for multiroom or get another source
freeview/freesat(you will need a feed from the dish and possibly another LNB eg http://www.amazon.co.uk/Zinwell-SX719QS-S-Sky-Quad/dp/B000NNO88E/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1327703831&sr=8-1 if you dont have enough feeds
key in the costs carefully on your choice

if you have the main aerial going into the 'RF in' of your sky box then the aerial signal will be passed to her tv through the white cable you already have.

Yes the aerial from the roof goes into the RF-IN socket on the Sky box and out of RF1/RF2 from the sky box to her bedroom.
