LG Televisions

We were going to go for a smaller LG television for a family member but I've checked out a few sites and the smaller LG's don't get good reviews.

Is there another brand that's got a good reputation?

I've got an LG TV that crashes so often I've given up watching TV completely! I guess it's done me a favour, really...

    Aren't Samsung quite well respected...?

I think the panels themselves are quite good -- LG and Samsung make them for a lot of other brands, I think.

But I'd avoid LG TVs... I don't know what other people's experience of them is -- maybe we were just unlucky.

I've had one problem with my lg which was fixed in 1 week. And friends have had them with no problems. Personally I love our tv.

I have a Panasonic - excellent picture etc - but the "online" experience is sadly lacking. I'd recommend it for normal TV viewing but if you're looking to link it to the internet "Viera Cast" is a bit rubbish (you get netflix and a few other channels, but not IPlayer)

I've recommended LG's as a budget brand (all 32" sets) to 3 people in the past year or so, and they've been quite happy with them. All purchased through Richer Sounds.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

See that's the thing checking the reviews the bigger LG Tv's get the good reviews but those under 32" don't....

We've personally had LG but its a bigger one again so I can't speak for the smaller ones....

Thanks for the recommendations for Richer sounds though I will check that out...

Good to know the Panasonic is good, as it wouldn't be used for internet access...

    Hmm decisions decisions....
