I'm sorry that that's what you thought, but I was saying the exact opposite. *I* don't think you're useless, but you said of yourself that you are "pretty much a useless person" in the first post. I don't believe you are so I think just a change of attitude and the way you see yourself will help you a lot. But if you look at it rationally and can still identify lacks of skills that make you "useless", simply address that lack of skill. For instance, can you use a computer? Word an Excel? If yes, you're not useless, those are needed in admin. If not, how can you learn them as cheaply as possible?Saving £10,000 in 2013: £4491.48/£10,0000 -

You don't need experience to work behind a bar unless it is a busy bar but most will train you up. The hardest is knowing what drink a customer is actually asking for.....but it is easily rectified by asking the customer to explain or a colleague.
Bars are looking for friendly people who will be able to build rapport with customers and have fun.
The only reason I'd not do bar work full time now is because I have a condition which means although I can walk for hours I can't stand still for too long as the pressure leaves my feet crippled.0 -
I can relate because I do have social anxiety myself and dithered here and there about whether I could survive in the workplace environment. I feel like I've gone into my shell again as this job is in a closed environment, it is very easy to get comfortable. But I am working at least which is an achievement for me.
My strategy was to just bombard every job ad I came across with my cv (even if you didn't fancy it, it is better to get a reply for something a little blah, then not get any replies at all), odds are I would land an interview, and sure enough I did get over 15 interviews in the space of 6 months, but I was sending some 70-100 email a week
Keep trying, stay positive0 -
You mentioned that you are undertaking some full time training - does that not count as some type of experience? Also, you have worked with your family business - does that also have an admin side? or could you mention that experience on your applications. Sometimes getting a job is all about putting ourselves forward in a positive manner and highlighting our strong points. Why don't you reflect on some of the things you have learned in your training, working with your father and highlight those points on your CV.
Please do keep trying and don't be put off by others comments here. Just believe in yourself and you will be fine. Make it happen
