Have you considered volunteering for a while in the area that you are interested in, so that you can build up the experience? Not an ideal solution but if nothing else works...
For admin I don't think it matters if you're shy, apply even to jobs that require a bit of experience, and if they call you for an interview and query the fact you don't have experience, say that you are keen to get started, are conscientious and quick to learn etc.
If you are the first to think that you are useless, why should anyone else want to hire a useless person? Either change your attitude and realise that you're not useless, or put yourself to work to learn new skills and get new experiences. Check the local library, there often are a lot of free courses for young people or for people looking for work. They may cover important skills like CV writing, interview skills or even business type courses.Saving £10,000 in 2013: £4491.48/£10,0000 -

Wow... Are you calling me useless? Some of you are rude. I won't be coming back on here.0 -
you said 'I am shy and I am pretty much a useless person'Happycheeks wrote: »Wow... Are you calling me useless? Some of you are rude. I won't be coming back on here.
The person who just posted is saying if you think that then why would someone want to hire you?0 -

No they weren't calling you useless, they wee trying to help. Read it again.
A key skill needed for admin roles is "an eye for detail", maybe you should work on that one a little!0 -
OP, the golden rule is to never give up the search. Accept there will be knock backs, treat them as their loss not yours. Whenever you fail, simply dust yourself down and try again. You are not alone in the quest for work, nor in suffering yet another knock back.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

Rude because I don't think your I can't attitude is wearing thin or rude because I don't feel sorry for you because there are 1000's of people in worse situations than yourself.
But I guess you are better than everyone else as you applied for 10 jobs and should have been given a job based on that.
Most people have given you great advise on here and the only person stopping yourself is you, therefore I am rude because I will not tell you what you want to hear.
I am also rude because you wrote a post called Can volunteering lead to a job? today at 8.57am before you started this post. It's better to regret something I did do than to regret something that I didn’t. :EasterBun0 -

I worked in the bar trade for 10 years (p/t on top of f/t admin jobs) and you will find that a lot of places prefer personality and a can do attitude to experience.
All I'm saying is, at if the moment you can't get a paid admin job, why not consider other options?
I totally agree. I think it's better to have something on your CV even if it isn't in the same field. I found the skills (customer service, time management etc) I gained in my student jobs helped me later on even though I went into a completely different field.0 -

I've told you what you should do! Your current tact is clearly not working, so gain some optimism, smile, and go and find some job adverts in windows, walk in the shop, and enquire about the job.
You have to have some confidence in yourself, otherwise you won't get a job.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
