they were MEGA yummy!!! And we went for a 9 mile walk on Sunday to burn it off!!

im sure 9 miles would burn off 9 syns!!

well done so far, you are doing great, :A

are final targets are around the same (well mines heavier at 11.12) im sure we will both get there :D
  • Hi everybody. I think I am going to have to write February off. My weigh in day is Friday. Weight on Thursday was just under 10 stone I was delighted. Weight on Friday was exactly the same as my starting weight . Weight this morning exactly ten stone. 140lb which would be a total weight lose for February of a measly 1.5lb. :(

I haven't done as much exercise as I should life has been manic. I already know that next week I will be late home from work 4 nights out of 4 so I guess I won't be much better next week.

So final weight I'm claiming is 140lb. Which will be my starting weight for March....speaking of which is there a new thread Dragon? Hope you are O.K.? Haven't seen you post much this week.
Enough money to live on so retired early...planning to see where life takes me:D

    This is interesting: http://www.nzherald.co.nz/lifestyle/news/article.cfm?c_id=6&objectid=10787548

From my point of view, something serious needs to be done. I haven't lost any weight at all since the start of 2012, in fact I've gained. 66.4 kg on 1st January, 67.2 kg today.

We've been away twice since the start of the year. 3 nights in January to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. 3 nights this month, invited to a confirmation ceremony in York, we decided to make a 'short break' of it. Every time we go away I end up putting on weight. So, for the last 2 or 3 days I've been doing it differently. For example, yesterday:

1 boiled egg (large, organic, free-range)
1 slice GI seeded wholemeal bread from local baker
I smear of butter, 1 smear of marmalade (on halves of slice, not marmalade on top of butter!)
    2 cups coffee, semi-skimmed milk

    large cup of coffee

    1 beefburger, 444 calories
    1 grilled tomato
    half large orange
    400 ml flavoured water

2 tablespoons oat-bran made into porridge with semi-skimmed milk
    Vanilla Onken yogurt
    Cup of tea
    Half an apple

We didn't have lunch till the middle of the afternoon. Went from church down the sea-front and didn't get back till about 2.30 pm so lunch was about 3. The beefburger is just grilled meat, nothing else, no 'burger bun'. I wasn't hungry. I didn't want anything else except drinks of flavoured water.

I go to aqua-aerobics Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 45 minutes.

I think what has happened is that every time we go away we have an evening dinner. I don't think I need this. It's habit. Even now, we had breakfast (boiled egg etc) about 8.30 am, I've been to aqua-aerobics and I don't feel hungry yet.

I want to get down to the 66s again, at least. Have been bouncing about in the 67s since 1st February.

3lb loss this week so 5lb in feb. Will try for a loss every week in march!
  • Hello Dragon and everyone.

Bit of a mixed results month for lots of us this month. I have lost another 1lb so a total of 3lbs this month altogether.

I see a few of you are unhappy because you want to lose more but try to think long term. For me if I manage to lose 2lbs a month thats another stone off in 7 months. Grit your teeth (which also stops you eating) and think how good that will be ladies. Anyway better days coming when the weather improves and the days get longer and warmer. Easier to get out and about.

Sorry you are poorly Dragon, thanks for still managing to put up the new thread. Hope you feel better soon. Ma
