Dabs site said the same aswell. Why ship a dvi monitor without a DVI cable seems a bit stupid if you ask me

Checked big cavernous box again and definitely no DVI cable - only VGA cable, UK plug, and EU 2-pin plug.

Fuzed: where did you see that it should come with a DVI cable? I got my monitor from Dabs and their website don't mention what is in the box (anymore, now that they have discontinued it). Also, the user guide on the accompanying CD says:
"One power cable and one VGA signal cable included"

I guess Dabs are just box-shifters for HP so they may not feel obliged to provide the DVI cable if it isn't already in the box?

...agreed. Anyway, I got two power cables instead of one so I consider I've not done that badly!:T

You never know when a 2-pin power cable will come in handy
  • Sold out at £188 according to lass on phone. Web site price is correct.

...btw, in case anybody else is worried about buying this monitor and finding that they can't set it to 1680 x 1050 widescreen resolution, here is the website I was referred to in order to check for compatibility of graphics chipsets/drivers:
    http://www.portrait.com/dtune/hwp/enu/compatibility.html

I have an onboard VIA/S3G KM400/KN400 chipset and it looks like I'm not the only person having problems displaying in widescreen mode judging from these two chat forum threads here and here

    Nothing that a new video card can't fix...or a new PC...:D
