Is this offer from T-mobile worth me staying another 24 months with them?

Hi everyone :)

I have been with T-mobile for over 12 years and I have two lines with them. Just finished 24 months contract with them and I'm due for an upgrade. This is what they have offered me after much arguments:

24 months contratc

Unlimited t-mobile calls
100 mins to other networks
100 texts
free internet
with HTC desire S phone

for £8 a month.

Bare in mind I had £5 contract for all this with samsung tocco lite phone last time. I wanted sony ericsson arc s but they said I would have to add something like £80 towards the phone.

Do you think this is a good deal?:)

Similar to what I got but I pay £5 a month and I payed £80 for a Samsung Ace.

The Arc S is very nice phone is worth the £80!

Its a good deal they have offered but imo pay the £80 and get the

If they are saying you can keep your old contract (£5 month) and get the new phone you want for £80, then that is only £8 more than taking this new deal (with a phone you don't really want).

IMO a 24 month contract = I'm out. It's far too long a term for a mobile contract.

Hi, I was with T-Mobile for 10 years and left to join Orange - wish i didn't!

I never had any problems with T-Mobile while i was with them.

The deal sounds very good but it depends on how many minutes that you tend to use each month i suppose. I use approximately 300 per month so it would depend on how much per minute they charge outside of the contract as to if it would be a good deal for me.

It says the internet is free, but is it unlimited?

To give you an idea, i get 600 minutes (to all networks), unlimited text messages, 750mg of internet (and i got the same phone free) for £20 per month plus VAT - with orange (not that i am reccommending them!)

I also have the HTC Desire S and do not have any complaints about the phone!

    Hope that helps :)

The £80 is with the £8 or even £10 month contract. They have offered the Samsung galaxy ACE for £7.

I would leave them but don't think I would get anything better elsewhere.

Just expected better offer from them. My cousin was offered, the same as me but with extra 300min to other network with the Samsung ace for £10 month and she is not happy with that.

    The internet is unlimited.

Do you think I should say the extra money for the arc S?

I think thats bad advice... it really depends how much you pay
I quite happily pay £5 per month for rest of my life

Of course you're entitled to your opinion, but I pay £10 a month & probably get a much higher usage allowance than you do & Im not on a contract.

The problem I have with 24 month contracts is that is such a long term for just a phone, tenancy agreements dont last that long!

And how are you in a better position than the OP unless you need a very basic handset?
The OP gets Desire S and airtime for 24x£8=£192. This is much less than the phone costs sim-free or on PAYG.

IMO T-mobile are crazy to offer such deals. Their only hope is that the OP spends more than their monthly allowance.
