Coincedentally, DH and his sister are the fussiest adult eaters I know; to the point of being ridiculous. I keep complaining to DH about the fact he won't eat/try any vegetables at all. What's going to happen when we have kids and they see daddy not having to eat veg? *sigh*

    . :o

saw an old friend at the weekend - before he had kids he would never eat veg but now he grows his own and even talks about becoming a vegetarian! it always makes me laugh at how much he's changed - so there is hope!

She is just ultra-paranoid about everything to do with food safety. Doesn't matter that even the NHS say that "best before" means just that - it might not taste so good after this date.

I get forwarded every single internet rumour about the latest food/additive that's going to give me cancer.

I do the same; microwave until fairly soft then put in v hot oven to crisp...wonder if you could micro and then grill on both sides for crispiness, though?

    Hi Mand,

Like you, I normally do mine in the micro then crisp up in a hot oven, but just before Christmas my oven died and I crisped them up under the grill....and it does work. :) You've just got to keep a close eye on them because there's a fine line between crisp and burnt. :D

    I've been Money Tipped!
I do mine on the skewer. I also rub a very small amount of oil, then salt into their skins.
