Have you read MSE's PPI Reclaiming article?
Maybe your questions would be better asked on the PPI Reclaiming board, where I am sure more experts in that field can be found.0 -
Hiya

Yes, I'm sure that you'll get some good advice from the PPI Board, so I'll move your post across. Good luck

Carcraft of Rochdale seems to be a trading style of UK Car Group Limited of Nixon Street Rochdale, which IS authorised although it has an introducer called Carcraft of Rochdale Limited.
If it is the latter you may have problem.
However, assuming it is UK Car Group Limited, you the complaint will fall within the jurisdiction of the Financial Ombudsman Service if the firm subscribed to the General Insurance Council's code of practice at the time and I suggest you call it on 0800 023 4567.
This is free from a landline but if you want to use inclusive minutes on a mobile call 0300 123 9 123
The code was a closed shop in that insurers that subscribed to it could only accept business from intermediaries who also subscribed to it and vice versa. So if you find the dealer did not but the insurer did you would then have grounds for complaint against the insurer. Any other combination - the insurer didn't or the firm did subscribe - and you would not.0
