If firms didnt tell people they were missold, they would of thought any differentDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

it amazes me the number of people on this thread who have led a charmed life, never been missold anything, never been made redundant, never fallen for a sales pitch from their truly fabulously honest bank (???) and financial advisors. Always had great jobs, and always had perfect health. Took out and got out of endowments at the right times, never had their pension go bust, the list is endless............................it must be very windy up there in the ivory towers and its obviously blown away any trace of ordinary human compassion, for lets face it, after all MONEY is much more important than anything else, God forbid the neighbours think you haven't paid your credit card bill!
Guys life happens and its a long way down from the top of that ivory tower.
Your misinformed and onesided misunderstandings are awful to behold, I hope you never fall on hard times cos you've painted yourselves right into a wee corner with no way out, whatever happened to help and support??????????????????More than Two Years in

You can believe in anything, it's a free country!
But this is *supposed* to be a help forum!!!
Telling people they should pay back what they owe is totally pointless. The vast majority of people are 'can't pays', i.e. they don't have the money, so even if they shared your belief, they just couldn't put it into practice! Even those who have been irresponsible and spent the money on booze, drugs or gambling, they have SPENT it, so they don't have it, simples!
There may be a small minority of 'won't pays', however, if they are so determined not to pay that they are willing to put up with all the harrassment and aggro as well as the destruction of their credit files, do you think they will change their mind just because an anonymous poster on a forum tells them to? Time to wake up and smell the coffee!
In which case there are proper ways out like IVAs, bankrupcy and debt relief orders, trying to weasle out by finding a loophole is not, and my point about PPI, which is what bought about the abusive reply is valid, surely PPI is there for if you loose your job, or become ill you pay the insurance, it pays your debts for a period whilst you get back on your feet.0 -

Would you feel the same about people that get away with drink driving, purely because the officer missed out a tick box on the charge sheet.
A copper gets a bollocking and a dangerous driver gets another chance to kill someone.
But it's the law so all OK.0 -

It smacks more of won't pay to me, what about the debt charities, they help come to an arrangement if you can't pay.0 -

I think the comparison is very valid, at the end of the day they're both relying on someone mucking up the paperwork.....but heh ho....doing it the diddy way......0
