Signed credit agreement

in Loans
A few years ago, I took out a loan with egg. However, due to circumstance the payments were reduced. I was ill advised to stop paying because it was unenforceable. I then went to a council run debt advisor and I requested that egg sent me a signed copy of the credit agreement. They sent me a copy of a standard agreement but their wasn't signed. My advisor has made several attempts to contact them over the past three years but no joy. Just before Christmas, I received a letter from arrow global saying the debt had been passed to them. Where do I stand regarding paying the loan back? I read that because egg didn't send me the requested signed agreement within a certain amount of time, they have no right to ask for it back.

You sure you have been contacting the right firm.0 -
The reconstituted agreement they sent you is all that is required.
The advice you were given to stop paying was completely wrong and you will now be liable for additional interest and charges. You need to start paying now or you will just get into deeper trouble.0 -

Theres a guy called Never In Doubt and he is the master of getting out of paying back what you owe,
There are also a load of his worshippers on here too (very deluded but ardent) who can look into this for you.
Ultimately, they are all demented but if you want to go down the unenforcable route...they are the nutjobs you need to speak to.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Or just do what everyone else does.
Argue with everyone insisting you intend paying it back...but don't. Carry on reading all the letters but then deny ever receiving any.0 -

Maybe they are not demented - maybe you are just too gormless to understand the concept, or that lenders as well as borrowers have to abide by the consumer credit act.Or just do what everyone else does.

And there we go with the assumptions AGAIN.
Do you know the poster intends on doing this, or are you just making this up as you go along (something you seem to be good at)No Longer works for MBNA as of August 2010 - redundancy money will be nice though.
