I was just about to post about this - not fussed about not getting the free fudge but I think the email is so badly worded
Would def not buy from them in the future!MrsBartolozzi wrote: »For those of you who signed up for the free fudge from Burley, just got an email saying they are not honouring ANY of the sign ups!! Bad business practice if you ask me. Ok they were probably inundated when it was posted on HUKD, but to honour none, rather than say the first 50 or so is pathetic!
[FONT="]Please note that due to unprecedented demand I am unable to fulfil any supplies of free fudge linked to recent newsletter sign ups. I apologise for this which is purely down to an enormous increase in take up of this offer. I recommend that you unsubscribe from the newsletter immediately and you will receive no further communication from this website. Many Thanks,

Sounds a bit like my block at the moment. I'm convinced the woman upstairs has adopted an elephant  She pee'd me off so much the other night that I got my brush and started banging on the ceiling.
And now the guy down stairs has gone and got himself a dog, which is fine in theory, if only he didn't let it out the back in the middle of the night so it can bark non stop . The guy is an a wheelchair and never really leaves his flat so god knows how the poor dog is getting any exercise.
Ugh, I'm having noisy neighbour problems as well...guy next door has been booming his 'music' out non-stop for 2 weeks now. This is now on top of his usual disruptive antics (DIY in backyard, howling dog, regular bonfires on lawn, etc). Chapped the wall in exasperation last Friday at 5am, he did it back  Then turned the music up!!
We finally reached the end of our tethers last night and got Environmental wardens in to measure noise level...result: a warrant in the post to him, which will lay the foundation for any future complaints to be escalated :cool:0 -

MrsBartolozzi wrote: »Happy, about the MB cake, I assume that when you stabbed it with a skewer/knife and found it still moist you left it in for a bit longer?
Is it possible taht the cake wasn't still undercooked, but that you were skewering the juicy sultanas etc? I cooked mine for much less time than in the instructions, and having tried it I'd say it was cooked for too long, even though the skewer was still coming out moist. I think, with mine it was that I'd assumed moist undercooked rather than cooked iykwim.
The original thread is here, where I seem to remember others having trouble with the timing:

You'll also read that I too broke my spatula while stirring this cake - an expensive cheap cake for me, and mine is a bit dry too!
No, it was actually cake mix that was stuck to the knife. Thanks for the link, I'll have a read before I attempt the next one.:beer:0 -
I remember my OH used to send me a bunch of flowers delivered to me at work, very nice, but very expensive I imagine!
So I very tactfully asked if I could have lots of packets of seeds or choose a couple of plants from a garden centre instead, and then I could have lovely flowers in my garden for months instead of for a few days.....he took the hump and Im lucky to get a card nowadays:(
....I do get breakfast in bed every morning though;)
Evening. Im well behind here. Busy writing. Up to 20'000 words:eek:.
Why do men ask what you want then tell you you want something else?:rotfl:Please don't judge me. you couldn't handle half of what I've been through.0 -

Grampian Housing are usually good with who they put in to their flats but from time to time they do mess up, and when they mess up, they mess up big time!
I was never more delighted when the junkie upstairs managed to top himself. Was awful when he was here, I was pregnant at the time and was scared to leave the flat some days with all his 'friends' coming and going and hanging about in the stairwell. Not nice at all.APennysaved wrote: »Ugh, I'm having noisy neighbour problems as well...guy next door has been booming his 'music' out non-stop for 2 weeks now. Excellent, least your on the way to hopefully getting it sorted then. I just don't understand how some people can be so inconsiderate, makes me ...those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.
