    Is that the top of a mountain or a really amazing cloud formation?

    It is mount Egmont a dormant volcano covered in snow with cloud formation above it.
    Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.

    ...............................................

  • The top white thing is a cloud over the top of the mountain.

    The white thing below is the snow covered top of the mountain surrounded by clouds.

    They were at it again at 4am this morning, some superglue on the handrail at 3:58am will sort the :eek::eek: out! I'll drop Grampian Housing an email tomorrow and ask them to remind them about the part in the tenancy agreement about keeping the noise down the communal areas. I've tried to get to the door in time to have a word with them but they are that young they would probably only end up laughing in my face. Tenant before them did that and I had dangling out window by his ankles and him and his junkie pals soon bogged off.

    :eek::eek::rotfl::rotfl:

    Sounds a bit like my block at the moment. I'm convinced the woman upstairs has adopted an elephant :mad: She pee'd me off so much the other night that I got my brush and started banging on the ceiling :o.

    And now the guy down stairs has gone and got himself a dog, which is fine in theory, if only he didn't let it out the back in the middle of the night so it can bark non stop :mad:. The guy is an a wheelchair and never really leaves his flat so god knows how the poor dog is getting any exercise.

    Oh don't get me started on Mr. OCD above me.:mad::mad: He's also so heavy on his feet it sounds like there is an elephant up there.

    Grampian Housing are usually good with who they put in to their flats but from time to time they do mess up, and when they mess up, they mess up big time!
  • Happy, about the MB cake, I assume that when you stabbed it with a skewer/knife and found it still moist you left it in for a bit longer?
    Is it possible taht the cake wasn't still undercooked, but that you were skewering the juicy sultanas etc? I cooked mine for much less time than in the instructions, and having tried it I'd say it was cooked for too long, even though the skewer was still coming out moist. I think, with mine it was that I'd assumed moist undercooked rather than cooked iykwim.

    The original thread is here, where I seem to remember others having trouble with the timing:

    You'll also read that I too broke my spatula while stirring this cake - an expensive cheap cake for me, and mine is a bit dry too :(!
