DS1 started coming into my bed when the ex & I were at the end of the marriage. Once the ex was removed, DS refused to even sleep in his room so I share a king size bed with my 2yo and my almost 1yo is in his cot in the same room. I've no idea what it's like to have the bed to myself but I wouldn't have it any other way if that's what keeps my boys happy. Dreading the ex getting overnights though as I know I'll feel like I've lost a limb not sleeping with one ear open or getting kicked in the ribs
My DD sleeps in my king sized bed with me too. Had both of my children sleeping in my room with me for 6 months after ex left. They were so traumatised by everything that had happened. (Long story and not nice). DS now sleeps in his own room, but I can't see DD going back to her own bedroom for a while yet.
Sometimes I think it would be nice to have the bed to myself, but I admit that I like having her there where I can keep an eye on her.
She obviously feels more settled and secure being near me, so I don't see that there's any problem with it. x0 -

You should put that on your list! There is some stunning scenery on the west coast...those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.

I remember when my DS was at school and my DD had just started pre-school. I went shopping at T's as usual and forgot that I didn't have my DD sitting in the trolley as she normally would be. It was only after I went tearing round a corner pushing the trolley and saying 'Whee!' at the top of my voice, that I remembered...
This brings back memories. Just after I finally achieved some freedom I was sitting on the train going to Guildford and saw some cows in a field, so I got rather excited and turned my head and said "look, there's some moo cows" to a very very amused thirty something man sitting next to me!! And it took me ages to stop rocking the trolly! What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

morning all. beautiful sunny day here in Kent ....very cold but sun is out so all good!
3dogs glad you arrived safely and we will all be thinking of you today no matter where we are xxx
you lot make me feel almost normal as we all do same stuff such as giggle when we should be in 'mum' mode, rock trolleys, have our kids in our beds for much longer than we are told we should......I personally had my babies in my bed for as long as they wanted, it only seems to be frowned upon in western society......I was so desperate for sleep that my logic told me at least I wouldnt have to get out of bed to soothe them lol. My son didnt sleep through the night until the day I came home with my baby daughter......he was 3. ... it didnt last lol
At the time I never thought it would end- but like everything with kids- every phase is JUST a phase and trust me it passes- to a different phase :rotfl:. I held onto the thought that it was highly unlikely that my teenage kids would want to share a bed with me :rotfl::rotfl:
they grow up faster than you think and it doesnt last forever no matter how it feels when you are going through it.:(
So child free and no work today..........no prizes for guessing where I am going when I get my lazy backside off this sofa!YNWA JFT96 :A0
