that reminds me of when i was young my dad had just cooked off a nice few pieces of smoked fish he'd found in the fridge and put the plate on the table with some crusty bread (bloomer loaf but crispier on top) with lashings of butter. Mum came in from work just as we were finishing it off and started shouting about all the fish gone.
At first dad thought that it was because there was none for her, but no it was because she'd bought it for the cat!!!!!:eek:
She didn't speak to us for the rest of the day :rotfl: but the cat was happy enough with the scraps off the plateSPC #329 £471/£500 banked

My cat wont eat any fresh fish/meat at all he wont touch the so called gourmet catfood he will only eat felix or whiskas, he loves cake, chocolate, sprouts, baked beans, curried cauliflower
All of our cats have been fed on dry food because on really hot summer my mum put the cats bowl outside to feed her and forgot about it because the cat got sick and ended up in the vets for 2 weeks.
She found the original bowl a week later under the shed filled with maggots  and since then she decided that the cat would be fed on the dry food she was eating in the vets.
On the unusual foods they eat, the first and only cat DH got me loved fish, curries, bolognese, lasagne, chilli, carrots, broccolli, spaghetti, basically if we were eating it she had a little bit, her absolute fav was boiled egg and soldiers :rotfl: DS used to feed her his then ask for more. DH spotted him feeding her one morning I was having a lie in and there was me thinking he was just a hungry boy!!!SPC #329 £471/£500 banked

Can so relate to that, I lost 4 years of watching any soaps when my DS was born, he refused to go to sleep before 9pm and I laid on the bed for 2 hours every night singing the Barney song to him!!!Then I'd pretend I'd gone to sleep and open one eye to see if he was asleep and he'd open one eye to look back at me:rotfl::rotfl:Can laugh about it now but it was a nightmare and I know made a rod for my own back by doing it:o The things us mums do!
DSes first year was our worst, he had colic only we didn't know until he was 8 mths old. We just thought he'd his night and day mixed up. We tried everything to get him into a proper routine.
I remember being at my wits end and plonking him in the buggy as I didn't drive then and walking the streets. DH didn't know where I'd gone so had jumped on his motorbike and drove round looking for us. He found us a few streets away.
We moved house when DS was a year old so he had his own room. Took him just that first night to sleep through. We woke up the next morning after having the best night ever, realised the time (7am) and both ran into DS room to find him still asleep in his cot. After that he slept well unless his routine was upset by something, then it would take almost a week to settle him back into it.
He still sleeps well, in bed for 9pm and sleeps until 630am but now has to get used to lights being turned on at all hours whereas in our house we got used to walking about in the dark as DS slept better that way.
Anyway time for beddie byes for me
goodnight all!SPC #329 £471/£500 banked
