Calmspirit big hugs. I had a disappointed children moment where DS1 was up for a huge scholarship/bursary for a course, and he got an honorary award- but no money, so he couldn't go. Totally different than being robbed, but gutted all the same, and I cried like someone had died- because his heart was set on it, he had done his best, and he was crushed.
Hopefully your children will have some fun - even if there was no insurance, there may be some way to claim back if the holiday was bought on a credit card? Worth asking...
Also, for everyone...
if you signed up to the Netfix deal- remember that to get the cash back, you have to actually download 5 hours of stuff in the first 2 weeks. Looks like a tv weekend for us!0 -

By the way, I just used a tip from the scrimpers programme and it works like a charm!!
I used a tiny bit of white spirit on a corner of a clean rag and wiped my kitchen windows and lightly buffed with another clean clothe. I have NEVER managed to get such amazing results so effortlessly.
Gonna do the windscreen of the car next.
We have just a had a lentil leftover soup for lunch.
The rest of the stock n veggies from yesterday's casserole was put into the thermal cooker with a mug full of lentils and blended together. Nice and wholesome with whole wheat toast and my own butter, mmm!
I don't have any kitchen windows. I do have Living room and bedroom windows though and I've only cleaned them twice since I moved in..........8 and a half years ago.:o:o0 -

Thanks for that
Didn't realise they would last that long, bought 60 fromage frais last week for £1.50, still eating them but thought a week would be the limit.
I've also got 6 muller corners* which I was about to bin, not now
Edit: *They are muller rice, the mrs was about to bin them. Eating one now with a bit of jam mixed in0 -
