  • Oh why can't my dad realise that English homework is hard for some people to do???
    DS hates it because he can't write too well so constantly makes mistakes, tonights homework has to be done correctly and neatly on the page which he is finding hard to do. He's started it many times and keeps making mistakes, he has a draft of it in his book but refuses to even type one out on the laptop without all the mistakes in it so he can copy onto the page.
    The main problem with my dad is that every time DS makes a mistake the page is crumpled up and thrown into the bin then he starts crying over it. My dad then starts shouting about him crying then I have to try to calm them both down only for it to start again when DS makes another mistake then my dad yells even louder.
    I have explained to my dad and everyone else how he is and that all he needs is to go into the hall for a few mins to sort himself out without anyone commenting on what he's just done and then he'll sit back down to his work again.
    This never happens in their house, they all yell at him to stop crying, which means that you get it for much longer including him shouting about how unfair they all are and he wishes they were all dead.
    It's so much fun when we do English homework :eek: I'd love to see my dad doing the work DS gets and then hear the teachers comments about his writing :rotfl:

    Sorry needed to type this or I would end up killing my dad, it makes me so :mad:
    How old is your DS? Is he Dyslexic? My DS1 is and he has an alphasmart kind of a basic wordprocesser. His English teachet said he would get a head start with the typing that you will have to do in the world of work. He was diagnosed in year 6. If your DS has not been tested then you should ask the school. My DS1 would not have been tested if we hadn't pushed as he us a "bright" kid and copes well ie maskes it well. The only major prob he has is spelling and the amount of time it takes ti get the stuff pn paper. He has a reading age about 2 years above his actual age. HTH
    I say "THANKS" to posts that make me smile - Oh and really good glitches.:j

    Sorry for your problems. Get a new clubcard asap and dont use the old one again. My details were taken once and funnily enough a manager magically appeared at my til! They are not allowed to use your details for any other reason than those in tandc's

    The only problem now is you cant get temporary clubcards anymore. Ive tried in 3 different stores and been told to phone a particular phone no. or register on the internet, which means you'll have to register your address too.. :(:(:(

    I would avoid using your CC at all with any DTD transactions or 1p buys, also if possible use cash (although I always forget as don't carry much on me) you can use the £5 off £40 spend coupons without using your cluncard, I think it's the mailed coupons that you need to use with a CC

    I used my MOC from my mailing yesterday without a clubcard, no problems.. BUT if your using point coupons, I makes sense that you would have to use your clubcard.

    snow? oh was we talking about snow sorry was confused

    I saw that coming :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
