Only managed 7/10 on Trivia quiz - but first time ever im top;););) could be because im the only one on it !!!!

but im gonna bask in the glory as long as i can :rotfl::rotfl:

As you have all most probably guessed im bored - i finish work this morning and go home to see my family for a week, i can't wait - its going to be a bit of a mad house as FIL is now positioned bed and all in front room, all three kids (grown up 2 of them) will be there and its half term; so 5 adults and 1 teenager in a tiny little 3 bed rabbit hutch for a week:eek::eek::eek: no where to escape for me when the going gets tough - thinking about it im scared can see it doing my head in, as when im at work i have so much space a huge 10 bed house to get lost in and only me and my charge in it, as most of the time just me - as my old lady goes to day centre 4 days a week and also sleeps a lot when at home.

Got quite a bit to do before i get to go but can't do any of the housework etc yet as she's still asleep and i don't want to wake her.

Glad to hear all went well for Mr 3Dogs, i hope the snow lays of enough for you to get him home.

Finished rambling for now and would love to see any snow photos if there are any around xxx

  • Mine will be 3 years old this November but that battery has been on it's way out for the last 6-8 months. I'll need to save a few pennies before I can justify a new battery. Logic board has been fine *touches wood* I did have a problem with the superdrive where it wouldn't read some discs, then it wouldn't read any. A quick search on the Apple Discussions and loads of people have had this problem and apple refuse to recognise the issue. I took mine to bits and cleaned it out and it's worked fine since *touches wood*.

Have you had a problem with your logic board?

Not yet, but it seems to crop up on 2007/8 MBPs (last of the silver screen ones) after about 4 years - friend's one's fan packed up, but it was the logic board. His superdrive is dodgy too. Other symptoms are incorrect display of battery life remaining, random shut down etc. My fan is ok, I have got the free widget iStatpro which is great for quick access info, rather than going through System Profiler.

The stress of thinking about what is might be like is worse than what it actually be like. What ever happens you will deal with it. You can cope. There are lots of people on here who can support you, take it a day at a time. Hugs.

Sounds like the headphones I got on DTD a wee while back, I have seen in at least two stores there are still clipstrips with OOD SEL and I so have to pull myself away from them! Only becasue they are pink and the boys don't do pink ;)

Were they the one £7.97 save three pound which made them £4.97 but they are now marked on the shelf as £9.97?

So Sneckie lurkers ;) S*ackbuie has pink ones on clip strip priced at £4.97 and IIRC r*tail park still has some on the clip strips next to hand held hoovers.

Mr. T paid me a few pence to take away some Sony headphones today. Over a month ago I'd had DTD on a pair of these by accident - at the time this brought the price down to just a couple of pounds - so imagine my surprise when I'm wandering round a non-local store today and find some more with the same SEL. It would have been rude not to inform the store of their pricing mistake, so I bought one pair. They went through at an even higher price than last time, so after DTD the headphones were free.

There is still one clipstrip in that store with the incorrect price. I didn't have the heart to tell them. Hope someone else finds it, it would be hillarious if I went back in a few months and it was still there. ;)

(SEL was out of date, offer finished on the 26/12/2011 so doubt you'll see it in many stores. They're the Sony headphones b/c ending 7685. Found on a clipstrip. My local store had them correctly priced a few weeks ago and they seem to have sold very well - none left last time I checked. HTH.)
I made a mistake once, believeing people on the internet were my virtual friends. It won't be a mistake that I make again!
