A question for all the cooks out there please.

I just bought a 6 pack of tomatoes reduced down to 10p. I don't eat fresh tomato but I use them in stews and bolognese etc (usually tinned ones)
Can I cook these down into a passata/tinned tomato type mixture, then freeze it to use next time I make a bolognese? Would you skin them before cooking?

    Thanks

BTW I stopped off at my local express of the way back from the parents, and I got 4 fruit & veg things for a total of 46p... very impressed!
I generally cook them whole I can't be bothered to peel them and them put them in processor. They will freeze once cooked
Mortgage debt 45,000. Thank you all for your help so far in helping me save to buy the house. I could not have done this without all your help.

    Found this on Google: http://www.self-sufficient.co.uk/Make-Tomato-Passata.htm

Another DIY cook/bake recipe to add to my collection! That's homemade butter, buttermilk, hobnobs and now passata!
  • Hi, sorry for the noob question, but with the tesco price checker JTD ....

if i buy an item in tesco .. say 2 cheese packets for £2 or £1.50 each ...
if they are £1 each in asda, will i get £1 JTD voucher?

does it matter if they are also 2 for £2 in asda?

    Thanks in advance :)

Move to Northern Ireland then! Lovely accents, never far from the sea and we're to be 10C on Friday compared to 1C in London. Summer has come early for us
now I feel very jealous that weather sounds fab. hopefully it will blow over to us. I hope you enjoy the lovely sunshine

No, you will have paid the equivalent of £1 each in tesco and that's what they go on for JTD.

    It's only a game

Farm services used to run a heater off of it to keep the workshop warm in the winter.

If filtered properly it can be poured in the diesel tank of some older cars.
