Awww! Sorry about that. I had a phone call cancelling my orders for the Christmas stuff but a text message saying that my order for the roasting tins is ready for collection at Penybont.

The Bobbin is still there too! Only been in it once mind you and I didn't think much of it.
Och - as a student pub it was fab but I would probably think it was a right dive if I went back now. Our old haunts used to be Ma Cameron's & The Tappit Hen on a Wednesday followed by Henry J Beans & the Ministry of Sin on a Saturday and The Bobbin just about every day in between.Mortgage Aug 22 £280,000

Uni is the problem! I'm in my 1st year, looking for houses for next year. Assuming I would live with people I get on with on my floor, only to find out that I'm not invited into their circle.
Don't know where I am now living next year.
University isn't all as glamorous as people make out.
Any who I'm signing out, I'll let people know how my doctors appointment goes.
I can very much relate to what you say, LTF, my DD has just started at Uni this year, in a flat with 4 others. The girl she really got on with gave up and went home after 3 days and she's now got 3 boys who just treat the place as a (filthy) crashpad and one girl who's highly neurotic and pounces on her every time she gets home. She has also been worrying about where she's going to live next year, and with whom, (she was in a very similar position to you) though that seems to have sorted itself out this week, as we told her it would. Have you actually asked the people you get on with if flat hunting together could be an option - could be they're just being a bit thoughtless rather than rejecting you personally
Uni and being a young person isn't always easy, but from my own exerience I found that the first year is when you're getting used to things and finding your feet, and it's different from second and third years, things sort of settle down a bit then and you find some like minded people to hang around with.
If the people on your floor aren't working out, then isn't there society or two you could join to find some more kindred spirits? Or failing that, some local clubs or societies outside the Uni? I know it's probably not what you feel like doing right now, but getting out and mixing with others/ having a laugh can be such a tonic.
The good news is that, despite everyone telling you it's wonderful being young and in your twenties, things do actually get better as you get a bit older - there are too many things to worry about when you're just starting out. I personally thought 35 was a terrific age - what do others on here think?Hope is not a strategy.0 -
hi again everyone
just want to check something
i was in tesco today with my mum and i thought even though i had no money to waste i'd have a look around and see if i had finally understood this DTD thing.
so i looked at loads of yellow label things and they said offer ends 14/2 or 28/2 then i saw one that said offer ends 7/2 (yesterday... obviously) does that mean that would be the one that might be a DTD thingy? You can't make someone love you. All you can do is
stalk them & hope they panic & give in
God created men first, cause you always makes a rough draft before a masterpiece!0 -

More than likely - but not guaranteed, the only way to find out if oyu haven't got a scanner is to buy it, if it goes through as dearer than the yellow SEL at the checkout - pay for it and say nothing and go to CS and get your DTD back, if it goes through the till at proper price then say oh sorry i forgot my purse im going to have to put it back sorry !!!Very proud to be Strip club member No 430 -
