thanx mate liking better customer service bit !!
hmmm if you have been with tt that long that says alot to me !!

i was thinking i should avoid sky and virgin if only so i dont get talked into t.v pachages !!
i am abit nervous about what i sign up to as all good now but i am being made redunant later in the year and hoping everything goes to plan but if not i will be screwed as oh only earns enough to cover mortgage , council tax and water so abit nervous to what i sign up too ! hopefully life will go to plan though xx
I am with plusnet and their CS is fab, also I am on a 1 month contract which is brilliant for us as you never know what is round the corner. Never had luck with TT but some people never have problems (like HC).

Everything will be ok in the end, and if it isn't ok then it isn't the end :)

I'm with BT for home phone and broadband....both unlimited...free calls 24/7. It costs us £16 = line rental but I think they are doing a deal for new customers where it's £13 for three months and I think I read on here recently that if you pay your line rental upfront you get it half price....*note to self check this out*
just looked as it was a very good deal, but nearest to what you say is + line rental

I can't honestly fault TT apart from getting started with them but that was more BT being pillocks about things. I've only ever had one fault and they fixed it the same day (their engineers are actually BT engineers but due to a contractual agreement when doing repairs for TT or any of the other Carphone Warehouse owned companies they have to drive plain white vans and wear a none BT uniform) as they are quicker than BT, if you know what I mean? TalkTalk have their own support forum which you can use if you have a problem and it's not urgent.

When I first signed up to TT I was paying £21/month but that included all calls any time of the day (not premium numbers) and heavily discounted calls abroad. I wasn't using this so I recently changed down to free off peak calls but I still get the free BB. I also opted to pay for my line rental a year in advance which got me a hefty saving.

Someone I had on Facebook lives two streets over from me but we are on the same exchange. He was complaining how slow his Sky BB was so we ran a test. We both downloaded an apple iOS update (quite a hefty file, 150MB if I remember) and mine was fully downloaded in less than 3 minutes. 40 minutes later and his was only 2 thirds done!:eek:

    xx

Where should I send the invoice?:p:p
  • thank you all !!

i am thinking line rental and broad band for now 1 month contract sounds fab too !! will look at plusnet , bt and tt then i think !

might be brave and let my contract phones end and go on pay as you go for first time in 9 years ahhh !!! i could just think stuff if get contracts and not have money to pay them in 9 months time but i work for a bank ( cant believe i admited that lol ) and have a thing amount my credit score and not screwing it up ! oh owed £4 on his cc few months back as was in credit and used it but didnt pay the £4 and got charged and i went mental about it !! lazy git !! fair enough if you dont have it you cant pay it but with him its just plain laziness !! and its only me that thinks about things like our 5 year fixed mortgage being up this year and what deal we can get on and that we need credit score in tact for that !! sorry i am ranting now lol good to get it off my chest though as he dont listen xxx sorry xx
