Real shame - as with this thread, it was the community feel that made it successful and all the MSEers wanting to help each other - seems to have all got lost somehow along the way.
There was hardly a community feel with Browntoa and Myrtleturtle being all authoritarian and laying down the hard rules.0 -

Was it Purdita that posted pics of her dog licking the plates when they were in the dishwasher?
Well that pic reminded me of this joke. Apologies for the spelling as I've just copied n pasted it from my email.
Can Cold Water Clean Dishes?
This is for all the germ conscious folks that worry about
Using cold water to clean.
John went to visit his 90 year old grandfather
In a very secluded, rural area of Saskatchewan
After spending a great evening chatting the night away,
The next morning John's grandfather prepared
Breakfast of bacon, eggs and toast.
However, John noticed a film like substance on his plate,
And questioned his grandfather asking,
'Are these plates clean?'
His grandfather replied,
'They're as clean as cold water can get em.
Just you go ahead and finish your meal, Sonny!'
For lunch the old man made hamburgers.
Again, John was concerned about the plates,
As his appeared to have tiny specks around
The edge that looked like dried egg and asked,
'Are you sure these plates are clean?'
Without looking up the old man said,
'I told you before, Sonny, those dishes are as
Clean as cold water can get them. Now don't you
Fret, I don't want to hear another word about it!'
Later that afternoon, John was on his way to a nearby town
And as he was leaving, his grandfather's dog
Started to growl, and wouldn't let him pass.
John yelled and said, Grandfather, your dog won't let me get to my car'.
Without diverting his attention from the football game he was watching on TV, the old man shouted!
'Coldwater, go lay down now, yah hear me!'

MT is just doing her best to manage the coupon thread and keep track of people's coupon finds. She puts a lot of hard work into maintaining the available coupon list and the shopping list to help everyone out, and all she actually asks for is that new coupon finds are posted in bold and colour so they can be found - which is hardly authoritarian.
I wasn't part of the debate about splitting the thread, but it happened, there is a separate chat thread (which yes, I also post on, and there are some lovely people on there). Browntoa moves the chat posts she (err or he?) sees fit, but it's not MTs doing. I really don't get why folks on here find it necessary to argue amongst each otherFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

The person that did the coupon thread before MT left and they held a vote on who should take over. 90% of people voted for someone other than MT yet she still ended up running it.
This is the second time that BT and MT have killed the coupon thread with their actions. I understand what and why they are doing it, but in reality it's killed the thread. 8 months ago there were hoards of coupons being found on a regular basis. BT and MT's actions meant that all the great coupon finders upped and left.
Not everyone (old people, computer illiterate people) know how to post in bold blue.0 -

Well I'm sure if anyone else would like to take over now, MT would prob be more than happy, seems a thankless task atm to me
I'm judging by your sig that you are not one of the old or computer illiterateIt's just a request to make things easier, the wonderful folks who run the NSD thread also ask for the NSD tally to be posted in bold and a colour so they are able to do updates easier. No one has complained at all about it - it was simply a request to do so when and where possible.
